Dear Season Ticket Holder:

Thank you for joining us for another season of Chiefs football. My family and I sincerely appreciate your loyalty as a valued Chiefs fan. We are committed to providing you with a quality product on the field and the best game day experience in the National Football League.

We are very optimistic about the future of the Chiefs, and we have made several important changes in our football operation. We are particularly excited about the addition of General Manager Scott Pioli and Head Coach Todd Haley to the Chiefs organization. They both bring impressive resumes to Kansas City, and we look forward to watching them shape our football team.

The 2009 season is also an exciting time as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chiefs and the American Football League. In addition, you will be able to enjoy a variety of upgrades in a number of areas at Arrowhead this season. We appreciate your patience as we continue our efforts to make the Arrowhead experience the finest in the NFL. Our renovation project is on schedule and should be fully completed by 2010.

Again, thank you for your continued support of the Kansas City Chiefs. I look forward to seeing you at Arrowhead this fall.

Best wishes,

Clark HuntChairman of the Board

CHIEFS 50TH ANNIVERSARYWhat began with Lamar Hunt’s attempt to secure an expansion NFL franchise in ’58 and then an attempt to purchase the Chicago Cardinals franchise in ’59, eventually led Hunt to conceive of the idea to form a second major professional football league. Fifty years later, Hunt’s vision which spawned the American Football League is clearly viewed as one of the watershed moments in professional football history.

The legacy of Hunt and the seven other original NFL owners – whimsically known as “The Foolish Club” – will be honored this season as the Chiefs and the other original seven AFL clubs celebrate their 50th anniversaries. Throughout the 2009 campaign, the Chiefs will honor many of the most memorable moments in the club’s rich history. In addition, the Chiefs will recognize a litany of individuals whose lasting contributions have helped define the franchise’s first 50 seasons.

TAILGATINGFor the last 20 years, tailgating has been a major part of the Arrowhead Stadium experience. When the Chiefs are at home, the Sports Complex parking lots are filled with fans enjoying pregame camaraderie with other followers of the red and gold. From catered affairs to the grill brought from home, everyone is welcome to enjoy this football party.

The Chiefs encourage fans to come early when the gates open and enjoy tailgating. But we ask that you follow some important guidelines:

One vehicle per parking spaceParking passes and parking spaces are for vehicles only, and cannot be used for trailers, grills, tables, additional tailgating spaces, etc.All vehicles pulling a trailer of any kind will be charged for an extra parking space and must park in the grass You must tailgate in front of or behind your vehicleSaving spaces is not permittedParking passes do not guarantee a specific parking spotRoadways, aisles and other parking spaces must be kept free oftailgating equipment so that vehicles may park or passIf your vehicle is too large to fit in the 8’ x 16’ space in the lot, you may be asked to park in the back of the lot or on the grass or move to our RV/Bus lot behind lot NViolations of these policies may result in the loss of reserved parking

Tailgating is a major part of the Arrowhead experience. Some of our fans also like to tailgate post-game and we invite you to do so. However, we would appreciate your cooperation in vacating the parking lots 1 ½ hours after the game has ended.
