(pbuh) and challenged him for debate&&& !ne b#

one the# proclaimed their faith to Prophet

Muhammad [pbuh'



he Jews described their belief as: *e believe that

Prophet +,air [-,ra (pbuh) is a son of .od and we

have come to #ou !/ Muhammad to see what #ou sa#

about it& 0f #ou accept our belief then surel# our

religion is better than #ours& %nd if #ou disagree" then

we will have debate and discussion with #ou&&&



*hen Prophet Muhammad [pbuh heard thebeliefs of all the five groups" he said: 0 believe in

one .od *ho is without an# partner and 0 re2ect

an# other god& .od has sent me as a *arner and3earer of glad tidings for all human beings& %nd 0

am 4is final proof over all +niverse&



hen" the Prophet (pbuh) turned towards theJews and said" !h Jews5 4ave #ou come to me

so that 0 would accept #our claim without an#

proofs6



he Jews replied" 7o&



he Prophet (pbuh) said" hen what is the reason

behind #our claim that Prophet +,air [-,ra (pbuh)

is the son of .od6



he Jews replied" *e sa# this because +,air

[-,ra (pbuh) vivified orah for Jews [3ani 0srael

after its destruction and he was able to do this

because he was the son of .od&



he Prophet replied" 7ow tell me wh# #ou consider

+,air [-,ra (pbuh) as the son of .od" wh# not Moses

(pbuh) who brought orah for Jews [3ani 0srael and

displa#ed man# miracles" which #ou are aware of& %nd

if the onl# reason for #ou to consider +,air [-,ra(pbuh) as the son of .od is his miracles of vivif#ing

orah then Moses is more worth# of being called the

son of .od'



'and if this minor miracle (vivif#ing of orah) can

mae +,air [-,ra (pbuh) the son of .od" then

the one who possesses much greater miracles

should have a higher status than prophethood

because if b# being a son #ou mean&&&



'that man and woman copulate and give birth to ason" then #ou are infidels because #ou compared

.od to 4is creatures and attributed to 4im the

characteristics of a haadith [coming into e9istenceand #ou do believe that what is haadith is a creature

and a creature needs a $reator for its creation&



he Jews said" es" we do not thin of +,air [-,ra(pbuh) as the son of .od in this meaning because

that would mean infidelit#" 2ust lie #ou mentioned&

3ut we call him the son of .od to show respecttowards him in the same wa# as some of our

scholars call a person ;m# son/ to respect him and

appreciate his high status'



&&&and that person is not related to the scholar b#blood because <uite often" a stranger who does

not have an# blood relationship is also called a

son& =imilarl#" when .od did what 4e did to +,air[-,ra (pbuh)" 4e made +,air [-,ra (pbuh) 4is son

for his respect and not b# birth&



he Prophet (pbuh) said" *hat #ou 2ust said goesagainst #ou because if +,air [-,ra (pbuh) is the son

of .od because of this reason then Moses (pbuh)

deserves a greater status near .od& +ndoubtedl#".od humiliates those who den# 4im instead of

accepting 4im and returns their argument over

them&&&



&&&*hat #ou 2ust said about +,air [-,ra (pbuh)

being the son of .od goes against #ou because

2ust now" #ou said that a high>raning person can

call a stranger with whom he has no blood

relationship his son and it is clear that he did not

give birth to this person'



'=o" #ou ma# also have seen people with highstatus calling a stranger their brother" or leader" or

father" or master and all of these phrases are said

out of respect and honour& =o" the more respect a

person has for another" he ma# call him with a

higher title of praise and respect'



'7ow that this is proven and clear to #ou" it will

be alright for #ou to call Moses (pbuh) the brother

of .od" or 4is leader or father or master becauseit is proven that Moses (pbuh) has a greater

status than +,air [-,ra (pbuh)&&&



'=o" if .od made +,air [-,ra (pbuh) 4is son

out of honour" then Moses (pbuh) who possesses

a higher status should be given a higher position"

lie 4is leader or uncle or lord& =o will it becorrect in #our opinion if Moses (pbuh) is called

as the brother of .od or 4is leader or uncle or

boss or master6



+pon hearing this <uestion from Prophet

Muhammad (pbuh)" all the Jewish =cholars werebaffled and worried and said" !h Muhammad"

give us time to thin over what #ou said&



he Prophet (pbuh) replied" es" do thin it

over but thin with an unbiased heart& Ma#

%llah show #ou the right path&



0mam %li said" 3# .od not even three da#shad passed that all those ?@ scholars

[including the five Jewish =cholars who came

for debate" and were @ individuals from eachsect" converted to 0slam& he# declared: ;O

Muhammad! Until today we never heard such

solid arguments and proofs which You

presented to us. And we declare that You are

the Prophet of God./
