PTA Financial FutureOver the past five years, the PTA budget has

grown from approximately $5,000.00 to $55,000.00.

Incoming funds consist of smaller fundraisers (under $1,000.00), one big fundraiser (auction $30,000) and/or grants.

PTA funds have covered fieldtrips, school events, supplies for classrooms, afterschool classes and family support.

As the PTA budget grows, there is a greater need for a long-term strategy focused on fundraising and spending.

Review how PTA spends its funds

Review current fundraisers

Discuss possible long-term goals 3-5 years such as:Fund a large projectFund a teaching position (would need a foundation) Other ideas

Discuss ways in which we could get there
