How do you apply fake eyelashes?

First you make hold the lashes up to your natural lashes and measure thelength of the falsies. You want to make sure the end doesn't go past your natural lash line. Cut shorter if needed. Then, put a little bit (and I mean little) oflash glue on the lashes and you blow on the lash strip to get the glue tacky so it will adhere without sliding all over your lid. Then, you apply them while looking down (if possible), it's easier to apply them if your eyes aren't closed. Apply as close as possible to your lash-line, using a pairof tweezers to push lashes down and the close your eyes until glue feels dry. VOILA!

How do you make your eyebrows so perfect?

This is a tough one to answer without actually show-ing you. I can tell you DON'T use pencil if you want perfect, natural looking brows. You need to use a brow powder like Benefit's Browzing or any eyeshadow of your choice that matches your hair color. Basically, I don't use a typical angled brush, I use the 231 small shader brush mac because it has the most control, and I like the shape of the brush. I start in the corner and lay the brush flat and horizontal to create the corner of my brow, I then turn the brush vertically and go in a sweeping motion and create the arch of my brow. This brush is good for creating a great, clean tip of the brow too. Then, I just fill in any gaps and make them as big/small as I feel like that day. (brow tutorial coming soon!)

How long does it take you to get ready?

About 1 hour, depending on what I'm doing to my hair :)

How do you keep your tummy so flat looking? It's an illusion, my tummy is not flat at all. Mostly, If I'm going to choose to expose my tummy for a shoot, I focus on the upper part of my stomach which is flat..er. The rest of my stomach is not so amazing. I do drink a lot of water though, and do try and stay away from a lot of alcohol and soda, which are also not good for your skin.

How do you keep your skin so smooth and breakout free?

Again, it's all about drinking tons of water and staying away from too much alcohol. Also, I NEVER go to sleep with my makeup on. Even if I'm exhausted (which is most days), I always wash my face. I also get facial's regularly, and moisterize, moisterize, moisterize!!

Tell me how your bangs always look SO per-fect!!

I see an amazing hair stylist regularly that gives me perfect fringe, but in betweencuts, I maintain them myself, and it’s all her technique! The secret? My bangs are cut with MEN’S CLIPPERS, NOT SCIZ-ZORS.(You get a perfect fringe every time with clippers, promise!)She then sprays them with tons of hairspray, and then uses a small backcomb to comb them all into place :)

with this month's Guest.....Author & Relationship Coach Tionna Smallsby Skorch Executive Fashion Editor: Bella Styles

In last month's issue I did a photoshoot with VH1's "What Chilli Wants" star, Tionna Smalls. So for this issue of Skorch I have my actual interview with Tion-na and part two of our photoshoot. Tionna served as TLC singer Chilli's relationship expert on the show and is now releasing her second relationship book entitled, "Men Love Abuse". In last month's Skorch issue I featured Tionna in all Ashley Stewart clothing to show her more urban glamour side. This month I'm styling her in Holiday 2011 looks from Lane Bryant. I'm so happy to announce that Tionna also chose one of my looks for the "Men Love Abuse" book cover. I got a chance to do a Q & A with Tionna and here's what she had to say:

What was your inspiration for writing your new book, "Men Love Abuse"?I wrote "Men Love Abuse" based on my experi-ence with men and being around men. I realized that men didn't act nice to women who were nice to them. I realized then that men loved abuse and needed to be called out on that very fact.

What important message would you like for your women readers to take away from this new book?I want them to be strong and realize that they can't be too nice to a man if they plan on keeping that man. I want them to know that their happiness is the most important thing in the world.Do you plan on doing a nationwide book tour or motivational seminars to inspire women on the topic of relationships?Yes I have some great plans to do that. I also want to teach women that love for self is the most impor-tant and greatest love of all.

In addition to your wonderful career as an author, I

also hear of another passion of yours, fashion. As a Richmond, VA girl I'm so excited to learn that you're opening a new plus-size boutique here called, "Maj-esty's Closet". How did this venture come about and what made you decide on the boutique name? I dressed my behind off on the second season of "What Chilli Wants." Fans from all over used to ask me where did I shop and I realized that there wasn't one specific spot. I shopped all over. So I said you know what, its time for a place where a thick girl can shop for all kind of items and be fabulous while doing so. I told my sister about the idea and she loved it and we decided to be business partners. Majesty is my niece's name (my business partner's daughter) and it also means "queen". I remember seeing Queen Size on the tights we bought back in the day. So Queen meant plus and it all just added up. Majesty's Closet is all about the thicker girl being fabulous and dressing better than her size 4 friends.

What type of clothing and designers do you plan to carry in Majesty's Closet? We plan to sell everything fabulous from dresses, leggings, hot sweaters, and even larger sized shoes. We will sell any designer who has the hot 'ish whether they are known or unknown. Its just all about the plus size girl being majestic.

What is your personal fashion style?I'm just a fab girl. I love vintage stuff like half hats and hair pieces. I love cute bags and accessories but most of all I just love looking extra! I change my style up all of the time because I love a variety of things.

If plus-size ladies would like to model for your bou-tique or better yet shop there, when is the launch date and contact info?If you are a plus size model who would like to model for Majesty's Closet, you can email my partner who is our fashion director at [email protected]. We plan on launching the site in January and our showroom will be opened in February/March. We can't wait. We will definitely change the face of "plus size."You can learn more about Majesty's Closet at www.majestyscloset.com and follow us at twitter.com/MajestysCloset.

With Christmas right around the corner what better time to give Santa your list of all your favorite things that you want. I love this time of year. I'm a beauty & fragrance kinda girl and you can get sets of your favorite scents at the same price you would a single bottle. I personally think that fragrance last longer when you layer it with the shower gel, lotion then the actual per-fume. Here are some new scents that I must have:

missfabIn a world where fashion influences everything we breathe, and touch I was transcended across the

ocean and into another country “Spain”. In Spain I found a fashion influence known as Sacramento amate Martínez. An avid fashion blogger at www.mispapelicos.com also known as my papers. She brought a vibrant and fresh perspective to the world I know as beauty and fashion. In this interview we discuss herinspirations and her truths.

1. Tell us a little about who you are and where you come from?I am a Spanish- English teacher and Nutritionist who took early retirement in order to follow other passions in life, such as fashion and travelling. I see fashion as a means of self-expression through clothes. 2. Living in Andalucia, Spain do you think there is a difference between the Fashion styles found in the US and in Spain? If so how? When I visited the States, apart from New York where you can breath style, I found that most women wore pants and t-shirts. I know trousers are comfortable, but they can also be a deadly trap.

Does where you live inspire your sense of fashion and style? My style comes from within regardless from where I live. Again, it is a way of self-expression through clothes. Putting an outfit together gives me such a thrill and pleasure. Even more when it seems as if the pieces magically clicked together. What are your fashion must haves?Skits, boots and belts. I never have enough. I am starting to wear more dresses now, but never ever trousers.Faldas, botas y cinturones. Nunca tengo bastantes. 6. What are your accessory must haves?Big chuncky necklaces, bracelets and earrings. I love and collect earrings.Grandes collares, pulseras y pendientes. Adoro y colecciono pendientes. 12. What are the top 3 things that you love about Spain? How important family bonds are, its people, the sun, the variety of countryside in such a small land; the glorious food, and the ability to live life to the full.

7. Does size matter when it comes to fashion and one's sense of style?Absolutely not. Absolutamente no. 8. What are your top 3 places to shop in Spain? We do not have vintage shops or flea markets, so I do most of my shopping in England, Germany o Ebay. 9. What inspired you to document your fashion jour-ney through "Mis Papelicos"?I have been keeping notes and cut-outs in notebooks, (that´s why the name of my blog: MIS PAPELICOS - my little papers or cut-outs) for as long as I can remem-ber, so I decided to go a step forward by starting my own blog.

10. Does age matter when it comes to fashion and style?Age is only a number. There are old people at 20 and very young ones at 90.The older you get the more free to express yourself and the less you care about other people´s opinions. 11. What key pieces will you never live without and that transcend from season to season, or year after year?I am not attached to things, but to style .No estoy atada a las cosas, sólo al estilo. 11. Who are your favorite designers? When looking for the coming season trend I always check D&G, Marc Jacobs and Prada first.
