• Increase membership by 8 more members than last year – this can be any combination (students, alumni, or professional)
• Submit roster and payment documentation by 10/17/14 and receive:
Business DECA/Texas Tie/Scarf for 5 chapter officers (more maybe ordered at chapter expense)
Preferred Seating for your DECA District at State CDC(based on goals of each District)

• Professional Selling Topic:-Sales rep for a major electronics company. A
large hospital is searching for wearable technology(ies) to help its workforce be and stay healthy. Participants will have a scheduled meeting with the hospital’s human resources manager to pitch the company’s products and price points.

• Hospitality and Tourism Professional Selling Event topic
-Assume the role of a relationship manager for an international educational tourism company. A school system has requested a RFP to send 50 teachers and students to Costa Rica in the summer to learn about the ecosystem in Central America. You have a meeting with the Assistant Superintendent to present your company’s packages and price points.

Business Operations Research Events
• 2014-2015 Topic-Develop a plan to better serve a generational group. Work with an existing business/organization to research the business and its current relations with various generational demographic groups. Develop a plan to better reach one underserved group through a revised marketing mix or human relations strategy.

Board Policy
• Minimum Test Scores at StateThe minimum test score at District will remain at 50 in order to advance BUT the minimum test score at STATE will remain at 70 in order to advance to ICDC. We must begin to expect more of our students if they are going to compete at the national level.

• State CDC Registration- The advisor for each chapter MUST pick up their own individual school registration packet and sign a form verifying they have read and understand the board policies governing the State CDC and competitive events. (no exceptions unless the advisor is not attending State CDC)
