A Note from Johnny…

After hearing the Sanctuary and Children’s Choirs, with the Orchestra, share the wonderful music of Christmas, I must say “it is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.”

To those who have participated in the music and decorations, I want to say “thank you” for leading and helping us stay focused on the main thing during this time of year–our Lord Jesus.

During this time of year, we can get so caught up with all of the “business” of Christmas we miss the holiness of Christmas. Observing the holiness of Christmas doesn’t mean we can’t laugh and enjoy the festivities of the season, but it does mean while we enjoy everything, we need to honor and worship our Lord.

To help us calm down and refocus on the meaning of Christmas, we have our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. If you are in town on Christmas Eve, make this part of your Christmas celebration. I promise it will help you see again the true meaning of Christmas, which is Christ. This service begins at 6 p.m. Bring your whole family and invite a friend.

The message this week will be from the Book of Romans. We will look at the power of God’s grace. My prayer is for us to see the grace that is ours in Christ.

Sunday evening, we will have our monthly prayer night. Come and let’s pray as a family.

May the Lord bless your day!

–Bro. Johnny
