WEEKLY COMMUNICATION – DECEMBER 18, 2020 1 IMPORTANT DATES December 19 – January 3 Winter Holiday January 4 – First day Back after Winter Holiday January 15 – PAC Meeting @ 9:00 January 29 - Professional Development Day (no school) The COVID pandemic has been the curveball of 2020, causing sudden changes that many of us could never have imagined. We have experienced border closures and travel restrictions, remote learning and working, and the uncertainty within our communities. What did we learn from the Year of 2020? What challenges and opportunities have we experienced that enable us to grow and prepare for 2021? I have been inspired by our staff’s commitment to equity, their passion for inquiry and their dedication to ensure that every young learner at Blair (at home or at school) has care, dignity, purpose and options. They have created a sense of safety and belonging, and maintained a focus on quality learning through the past months. It has taken an enormous effort. I am humbled and grateful. I hope that whatever your plans are for the holidays, that you build in time for yourself – to have some fun, to enjoy some quiet moments and to reflect on all that you have done to help your child, your families. Sincerely, Ms. Ludwig Purdy’s Chocolate Fundraiser Our Purdy’s chocolate bar lucky draw is finished and we raised a total of $216.65. Thank you to all of our school staff, PAC members, and parents who supported this fundraising activity. It will be a fantastic start for our upcoming school development and student benefits. The PAC once again, sincerely expresses their gratitude and appreciation for everyone’s support. Ms. Ludwig’s Reflection
