Hole in the Wall?? By ELP

Engineered Lighting Product’s unique, cast GRG “Hole In The Wall” luminaires are a recessed fixture for use with several compact fluorescent, incandescent, halogen and LED lamping options. The GRG fixture is fiberglass reinforced cast plaster with integral electrical components. The casting houses an electrical box that includes wiring, socket(s), reflector and ballast for fluorescent units. The metal “fixture insert” is 20 gauge CRS that is post painted with TGIC polyester powder coating, with cover and knock-outs for wiring. All fluorescent units are supplied standard with Luminaire Dis-connect. Electrical components are accessible through the fixture opening. Electrical box provides knock-outs for through wiring. Casting mounts directly to stud construction. Allowance is made for 5/8” gypsum board construction butting fixtures. Once installed the fixture actually appears to be part of your wall and looks like a custom formed drywall “light niche.” The shallow 3 1/2” fixture may be recessed into a standard 4” wall to wash the ceiling or floor with light. By lining the “wall recess” with gypsum, the wall installation may also be modified to maintain a one hour fire rating.

Philips Day-Brite is pleased to announce the addition of Lighting Lifters to its list of accesso-ries available for use with many of our Indoor products. These devices can be hard wired or op-erated via a wireless remote control. One wireless remote can operate all of the lifters in the build-ing. Lighting Lifters provide a safe, fast and con-venient method for maintaining many types of lu-minaires. The innovative designs come in a com-plete series of products with many options to suit most applications. Lifting capacities range from 4.4 pounds to 220 pounds. There is no need to turn off the power to perform maintenance opera-tions. The system automatically switches off the lighting load and disconnects the power to the lu-minaire when lowered, thereby eliminating the possibility of electric shock, as well as removing all height related hazards. There is no need to use heavy equipment or erect scaffolding to work on the lighting system. If luminaires need more than a simple lamp change-out, they can be lowered to the floor, removed, and taken to a work bench. All units have a lock-ing device that secures the lowering section when the system is in the “home” position so that the lowering cables are only under tension when in use. All units automatically stop lowering at a pre-set height which can be programmed by the in-staller or operator. Flexibility of mounting methods for the Lighting lifters allows for easy installation using the comprehensive instructions that we provide. Applications include gymnasiums, convention cen-ters, factories, warehouses, performing arts cen-ters, banquet halls, auditoriums, hotels, ice rinks, stadiums, shopping centers, museums, churches, etc.
