Hotel rate transparency
2 | Egencia Confidential
Overview - Hotel rate transparency
Current:
Hotel results are shown by various sort (price, hotel class, etc), but rate types are indicated only by map marker color
• Traveler must mouse over map marker either on map or hotel listing to view rate type
Hotel Rate Transparency will:
Clearly identify rate type (Negotiated, Egencia-Preferred, Expedia Special, Published) on the top-level result screen
Enable Clients to upload their own logo/icon to identify and brand their Negotiated rates
Note that current default prioritization sorts are not changing, but clients may choose to prioritize their Negotiated rates with the branded rate type
Benefits:
Updated and clear display / transparency of rate types for hotel results
Overcome perceived bias either by traveler or client on how Egencia displays hotel results
Current:
The least expensive rate, regardless of rate type, displays on the top-level hotel page for each property
Hotel Rate Transparency will:
Display the least expensive of the rate type the client prioritizes, not necessarily the least expensive overall
Benefits:
Clients can prioritize their Neg rates and room availability with branded display, driving volume of the negotiated contracts if they prefer
