Whether you are a traveler or a travel arranger, new features have been added to the LM

ers and travel arrangers to:

View bank of your unused tickets
Submit online Customer Service issues and view status of past requests
Search and print previous e-ticket receipts and itineraries from the last year
Travel arrangers will also have a global graphical representation of where their travel-
ers are located when on travel
One of the new features, which will be available in the first Quarter 2013 is Travel IQ, a dy-
namic graphic that demonstrates a traveler’s compliance with Lockheed Martin travel policy.
This visual snapshot shows the traveler’s contribution toward ensuring the Lockheed Martin
travel program is as efficient and cost-effective as possible.
Please take time to review these new enhancements, we think you will find them beneficial. Newsletter Feedback

Event Cancellation Classifieds
Lockheed Martin events have recently been cancelled at the properties shown below. To avoid significant cancellation fees,
Lockheed Martin must rebook business at these venues in the near future. If you have an upcoming event that may be
scheduled at any of these properties, please contact John Dirba of HelmsBriscoe at 214-351-9096. Please keep in mind
that an event of any size will help offset the costs owed by Lockheed Martin.*
* Rebooking an event at one of these properties will not reduce your rates or provide a credit to
your event. The overall benefit is to the Corporation since Lockheed Martin will be released of the
liability and will not have to pay attrition or cancellation fees owed to the property.

2012 Global Event Services Accomplishments
Thanks to the support of Lockheed Martin event planners, the LMEvents Program has registered 300 external events and
achieved savings of more than $1.63 million in 2012. Below are some of the top achievements of 2012:
Estimated overall compliance with CPS-418 (as measured by event registrations) has increased by 17 percent in
2012, from 34 percent to 51 percent as of October. Three of the five Business Areas now have compliance over
50 percent.
Global Event Services distributed a survey to over 1,600 Lockheed Martin employees who were identified as stake-
holders in the event planning process. With a 30 percent response rate (469 responses), we now have better in-
sight into the event planner experience level across the Corporation and the Lockheed Martin event planner data-
base is more accurate.
Global Event Services developed and distributed an LMEvents overview presentation to educate event planners on
the new policy, process and supplier agreements. The presentation was a major contributing factor to the 17 per-
cent increase in CPS-418 compliance.
Global Event Services and Lockheed Martin Legal have negotiated brand-specific versions of the Lockheed Martin
hotel contract addendum throughout 2012. The custom Omni version is complete. Dialogues continue with Hilton
and Ritz Carlton.
Global Event Services completed negotiations for a customized letter of intent with Marriott International Legal for busi-
ness opportunities that are $10,000 or less. When the letter of intent is utilized, there is no cancellation and no at-
trition if the sleeping room block is released 3 weeks out and meeting space is released 72 hours out.
Global Event Services signed agreement extensions with HelmsBriscoe for venue sourcing, Corporate Travel Planners
for attendee registration web sites and Plannernet for staffing support.
Global Event Services added a new service offering – Avis Chauffeur Drive by WeDriveU. Chauffeur Drive allows
planners to take advantage of Lockheed Martin’s low Avis rates and then hire a chauffeur to pick up, drive and
return the Avis vehicle. This offering can save over the traditional car and driver or shuttle service.
Global Event Services began reaching out to international Lockheed Martin locations to make them aware of the
LMEvents Program and supplier agreements.
Global Event Services and Travelocity Business completed the installation of Dinova preferred restaurants into Trip-
Case for Lockheed Martin travelers. TripCase, a travel management app, organizes important trip details including
flights, hotel accommodations and rental car reservations. Now, Lockheed Martin preferred restaurant options at
the travel destination will be displayed on the app.
For more information, visit the LMEvents web site.

LMExpenses Process Tips
December 2012
The following information will provide you with guidance when preparing your expense report in LMExpenses. You may access additional frequently asked questions by selecting the “Help” option from the LMExpenses main menu.
LMExpenses Will Be Offline on December 18 from 12PM – 12AM EST
To facilitate our year-end closing, LMExpenses will be offline on December 18, 2012, from 12PM – 12AM EST. LMExpenses taxable reimbursements paid through 12/31/12 will be reportable on the current year W-2.
Each business area has its own year-end cut-off and some have already closed their books for 2012. However, on the evening of December 19
th, the LMExpenses system will
post the last business area journal entry file for 2012.
Policy requires that we submit the expense report and supporting documentation to the expense report approver as soon as practical—normally within five business days of trip completion. It is especially important to submit your reports timely during the end of the year.
Changes to Business Travel Policy Coming Soon!
CPS-417, Business Travel Policy, has been revised, renamed, and divided into two documents:
CRX-325, Business Travel, is a Cross Function Procedure. It briefly outlines the travel program, including compliance,
Travel Card, and required travel reservation and expense systems.
TVL-001, Business Travel Handbook, supplements CRX-325 and includes a glossary, traveler’s checklist, Lockheed
Martin’s travel standards, and instructions for preparing expense reports. A link to TVL-001 is available at the
top of CRX-325.
The Travel Handbook will include the detailed how-to procedures that are currently in CPS-417. The handbook will also in-
clude a contents page with hyperlinks, enhanced receipt requirements, and clarification of roles & responsibilities. Compliance
of both policies and procedures is mandatory. The current draft is available for review in Command Media, and final approval
is anticipated in January 2013.
Employees are encouraged to view our “Show-Me How” training videos and review other materials on the LM-Expenses Help-
desk website.

If you are traveling with gifts during the
holidays, wait to wrap your presents at
your destination. The TSA may opt to
open that wrapped gift and spoil your
hard work. The TSA will now permit small
snow globes in your carry on, as long as
they have 3.4 ounces or less of liquid.
