Kidnap & Ransom Coverage: As

reported in the Oct 2016 issue of

National Underwriter, there are

estimated to be 5,000 - 10,000

Banks High School buddies. They seem

to have had a little luck on the trip.

OK, not the best picture but that is

definitely getting a good one.

A group of scientists want to

reintroduce cougars into the New

Jersey area ecosystem in an attempt

to curb an ever-growing deer

population in the suburbs. With over

1,000,000 vehicle crashes nationally

being caused by deer each year, the

scientists suggest the cougars are a

natural predator that once thrived in

the area. They believe just one of

these big cats could possibly

eliminate up to 183 deer each year.

They readily admit some humans and

pets could be lost if this were to

happen but they seem to be ok for

people to risk it.

Now, I have put some quick, non-

scientific thought to this. I am of the

opinion that if needed, we could load

up a bus of good ole boys from our

neck of the woods that would

decimate that deer population in

short order freeing up these

scientists for other concerns.

Time zones were initially created

in the continental United States on

November 18, 1883 by the large

railroad companies to establish a

more reliable train schedule. Prior

to that, each town had its own

time-standard which resulted in

over 300 local sun times.

International acceptance of time

zones happened in 1894.
