and Eucharist?
We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions
focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments
of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. You are welcome to participate in
the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm accepting setting.
Also, anyone who would like to help with the sessions is asked to contact us. For information,

FAITH, FUN, and FRIENDSHIP! CHURCH COMMUNITY GATHERING HOSTED BY THE
TRI-PARISH. FREE! Donations accepted. FOR ALL AGES! This Sunday, 8 December. Join us
for the 11a.m. Mass in St. Andrew’s for a meal and activities. The theme will be honoring our Lady

The next Youth Group meeting for age youths from Grades 5 and up will meet: Middle School and
High School (Simultaneously) on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month. The next will be Monday,
16 December from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.in the Heatherton Community Centre.
The St. Andrew’s Consolidated School Choir will be singing at the 11:00 a.m. Mass next Sunday,
15 December in St. Andrew’s.
The “Prayer for Priests, Deacons” for the month of December is now available near the bulletins.
Let us show our love and appreciation for our priests, deacons and others serving in our diocese, by
praying each day.
Copies of “The Word Among Us” are available for $3.00 each at the entrances of the churches.

Monsignor Hugh MacPherson Knights of Columbus “Coats For Kids”: Bins are now at the back of
all churches for your gently used items of winter coats, hats, mitts, snow pants and snowsuits. We
had a great response last year & hope this year will be the same. Thank you in advance.

2020 are now located near the bulletins. Please take a copy for your reference.
Church contribution envelopes for 2020 will be available next weekend. If you wish to receive a
packet but are not already on the list please contact the Tri-Parish Office or take a box and include
your name and address on the first envelope you use so that we have your information.
~ Schedule for Faith Formation Sessions ~ Grades 1 to 4 Classes are now finished for 2019 and will resume at the same time and location
for the months of April and May 2020.
Grades 5, 6 and 7 Heatherton Community Centre, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.: Tuesdays on 17 Dec.,
28 January, 26 Feb. (Ash Wednesday services in churches), 3 and 24 March, 19 May & 9 June.
New this year: the CONFIRMATION PREPARATION CLASSES offered for students
in Grades 8 and up. Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, 7 to 9 p.m. at the St. Andrew’s School:
10 December, 7 January, 4 and 18 February, 10 March, 12 and 26 May.
Advent and Christmas Schedule Reconciliation Service with visiting priests for individual confessions will be held in St. Andrew

St. Andrew Parish News Christmas Poinsettias for St Andrew Church and St Francis DeSales in memory of our deceased loved ones may be made by a donation in the
weekly collection with the name of the donor, your envelope number if applicable and the person you wish to remember. All donations are
greatly welcomed and appreciated.
2019-2020 Missalettes are for sale at the front and side entrance of the church for $5.00 each. (A container is available, if not you may drop your
$5 in the collection with reference as book payment).
C.W.L. dues are now being collected at before and after the St. Andrew’s weekend Masses for the next few Sundays. The price is $22.00 and
dues may also be dropped off to Loyola at MacDonald’s Convenience.

Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Ninian Cathedral on Saturday, 21 December from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Priests of the Deanery will be

Pomquet Fire Dept and Emergency Services Annual Children’s Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, 17 December at 5:00 p.m. at the
Pomquet Fire Hall. This event is opened to children who live in District 5 & 7. Mandatory registration before 15 December including child’s
name, age and address to Amanda at 902-735-2722. Donations will be accepted at the door to help a family in need.
Pomquet Parish Seniors Christmas Baskets: For the past number of years, Pomquet Development Society members have been preparing and
delivering Christmas Baskets for the Seniors of our Parish who are over 80 years old. In order to avoid missing anyone, please contact Colette at
902-870-3051, and let her know the names of any of Seniors who have turned 80 in the last year or anyone we may have missed last year who
were 80 years of age or older . If you received a basket last year, there is no need to contact us. Thank you all!
The Pomquet SASC knitting group will be taking a break over the Christmas holidays. We will continue to meet on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. until
12 December, which will be our last meeting of 2019, and will resume in the New Year on Thursday, 9 January. All are welcome to the group; no
