Santa Shop

The Santa Shop will provide some nice, inexpensive gifts for our students to purchase for friends and relatives. Jenna Pilcher, (Chairperson) and Committee: Tiffany Penix, Bri Beal and Sara Emhoff, will coordinate efforts for this project and we thank them for their time and talents. Classes will visit the Santa Shop on December 10-13. Parents are asked to send money to school in sealed envelopes with the child's name on the outside. This eliminates confusion and fear of money being lost. We will notify you of your child's day to visit the Santa Shop. We will be seeking volunteers to help make our Santa Shop a success for our students.

Perfect Attendance

We had a Perfect Attendance count of 135 students for the first nine weeks of school. This is a great achievement for many students. The complete list of students is on display in our office hallway.

Christmas Vacation Christmas Vacation begins with regular dismissal on December 20. Classes will resume on Monday, January 6, 2020.

School Supplies Supplies often need to be replenished this time of year. This may be a good time to give supplies as stocking stuffers. Those crayons, glue, pencils, etc. are in need of being replaced to begin 2020 all fresh and new!

Lunch Charges

We allow students to charge if they've forgotten their lunch money, but we ask that the charge be paid the following day. Lunch charges accumulate very quickly so we appreciate your promptness in repaying lunch charges.

Winter is here. . . . With the temperature dropping and winter weather on its way, please remember the following:

1. It is our policy that children go outside for recess unless we have extremely low temperatures or severe weather. Please be sure your child is dressed for the weather. A warm coat, gloves, hat and boots or a second pair of shoes are a must. The playground will be wet with melting snow during the winter and your child may sit throughout the day with cold and wet feet if boots or an extra pair of shoes are not provided.

2. If your child is returning to school after an illness, and you want him/her to stay inside during recess, we would appreciate a note from you stating this.

3. Children will sometimes leave home in the morning without hats and gloves. Weather conditions change quickly so they are sometimes caught outside without proper clothing. Please assist your child in being prepared for winter weather.

4. If your child walks, please do not send him/her too early. Students are permitted inside at 8:40 A.M. Supervision is not provided until 8:30 A.M

5. In case of a delay or school cancellation our Phone Notification System will be activated

6. Early Dismissal - Please talk with your child about an emergency plan in case the school needs to send your child home early. Plans need to be made now. Our telephone lines are tied up on days like this. Please make sure your child knows what to do and where to go if we should ever have an early dismissal. He/she may not be able to use the telephone and therefore MUST be aware of what to do in advance.

Parking At Dismissal PLEASE be courteous of our neighbors' driveways when parking around our school. We realize parking is very limited - especially at dismissal - and we want to make sure no driveways are blocked by parked cars. Thank You!

Phone Notification

We will communicate with families through our phone notification system. It is important that your information is current and accurate in our system. School closings and delays will be made to the primary phone number that was used to enroll your student in school. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office at any time. Message from the Nurses Now that most online emergency medicals are completed it is evident that we have numerous dietary concerns in the district due to a variety of food allergies or medical conditions with dietary needs. If your child requires dietary substitutions (milk, etc.) from the cafeteria, a written and signed note from your child's physician is required every school year to make those accommodations. Thank you for your cooperation.

Boletín de diciembre de 2019

Santa Shop

Losescolares a
