Leader: The people who walked in darkness have seen a great
light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has
light shined.
People: You have multiplied the nation and increased its joy;
they rejoice before you with joy of harvest, as the dividing of
spoil.
Leader: For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; the
