1. you must attend at least 60% of club meetings
2. You must meet UIL academic eligibility requirements by passing

the homemaking division at
the A&H Show:
Dropping off homemaking items on January 23 from
5-7
Judging homemaking items
on January 24 from 9-noon
Checking out homemaking items on January 28 from
5-6.
Reminders for homemaking division:
Homemaking items, besides perishables, are due to the Extension
office BY January 18.
Baked goods are due to the Extension office on January 23, office will be
open until 6 PM to accept baked goods.
To be eligible for Sweepstakes in the clothing division, you must be at the fairgrounds to model on January 24 at 1 PM.

4-H upcoming events
Aransas County
National 4-H Conference is a working conference where youth and adults assist in the development of recommendations to help guide 4-H Youth Development Programs nationally and in their commu-nities.
Youth, ages 15-18, are eligible to apply.
Applications are accepted in 4-H Connect through December 15. There is no fee to apply.
The Texas delegation will be announced by January 13, 2017. Selected delegates will then have until February 1 to register and make payment of $2,000.
The registration fee covers the delegate’s share of registration, adult chaperone registration, lodging, airfare, meals and ground transportation. Delegates are housed at the National 4-H Center.

National 4-H Conference applications being accepted now through December 15.
The conference will be held in Chevy Chase, Maryland at the
Volunteers Needed Wednesday, February 8th.
4-H Day at the State Capitol, Austin TX.
The day is designed for 4-H members to learn more about our state legislative process, see our legislators in session, and to visit with their respective elected officials. It only takes place every two years so mark your calendar. The days event
