December / Diciembre 23, 2018 Fourth Sunday of Advent | Cuarto Domingo de Adviento

Being that today is the fourth Sunday of Advent, we anxiously wait for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And what better way to wait for the coming of our Lord, than to be in peace? Peace is a home where there is

laughter, cuddling, and quiet moments of just feeling good about all that is around. Peace is a workplace that respects individuals, creativity, and contributions. Peace is looking at natures beauty and feeling complete bliss. Peace can be many things. Peace is love, and love is God. If you seek peace in your life, you seek God. How do you attain peace? You do what God wants us to do. Love one another as you love yourself. Doing the works of mercy. Helping within your community. Abstain from breaking the peace of others and abstain from sinning. Participating in Holy Communion also brings you peace way more intimately than any other way, because you receive Jesus as you partake in this Holy Sacrament. As we continue to wait for our Lord’s coming, I encourage you to think of other ways where you can be at peace as well as doing all that you can to bring peace to others. Ask God to let you be an instrument of His peace, and I am certain he will grant you that. Now that Christmas is right around the corner, gift yourself the best present of all: Peace. Live your life always in peace, and you will always be with God. Merry Christmas to all!

Siendo que hoy es el cuarto Domingo de Adviento, esperamos ansiosamente la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. ¿Y qué mejor manera de esperar la venida de nuestro Señor, que estar en paz? La paz es un hogar donde hay risas, mimos y momentos tranquilos de sentirse bien con todo lo que hay alrededor. La paz es un lugar de trabajo que respeta a los individuos, la creatividad y las contribuciones. La paz es mirar la belleza de la naturaleza y sentir la felicidad completa. La paz puede ser muchas cosas. La paz es amor, y el amor es Dios. Si buscas la paz en tu vida, buscas a Dios. ¿Cómo logras la paz? Solo haciendo lo que Dios quiere que hagamos. Ámense unos a otros como se aman a ustedes mismos. Haciendo las obras de misericordia. Ayudando dentro de tu comunidad. Abstenerse de romper la paz de los demás y abstenerse de pecar. Participar en la Sagrada Comunión también te brinda paz más íntimamente que de otra manera, porque recibes a Jesús cuando participas en este Santo Sacramento. Mientras seguimos esperando la venida de nuestro Señor, te animo a que piense en otras formas en las que puedes estar en paz y hacer todo lo posible para traer paz a los demás. Pídale a Dios que le permita ser un instrumento de Su paz, y estoy segura de que El le concederá eso. Ahora que la Navidad está a la vuelta de la esquina, regálese el mejor regalo de todos: la paz. Vive tu vida siempre en paz, y siempre estarás con Dios. ¡Feliz Navidad a todos!

lasting, and deep joy is that the Light shines there. Through your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, “Light” has shown, bringing real, lasting and deep joy to the hearts of the poor who live in dark places in our streets and neighborhood. Cuarto Domingo de Adviento: Jesús nació durante la noche del año cuando la oscuridad es la más larga. El Salvador del mundo viene para alumbrar a las personas en lugares oscuros. The Solemnity of the Birth of Jesus, Christmas Eve Mass will be on Monday December 24, at 9:00 pm.

Christmas Day Mass will be on Tuesday December 25, at 9:00 am.

Today there is greater acceptance of cremation as an alternative form of burial, an option that allow churches to open their doors to their members for this same sacred sanctuary, giving them a more intimate and spiritually

satisfying alternative for interment, in the lasting peace and dignity of their church. A Columbarium is a beautiful bronze vault in which are placed the cremated remains, the ashes, of the faithful.
