It’s that time again, for the 17th An-nual Old-Fashioned Soup Kitchen sponsored by O.P.E.R.A., Inc. This year’s date is Sunday, December 13, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. It will be held at the Ellendale Opera House Lobby on West Main Street.

As usual, there will be a variety of ten soups for you to enjoy, some old favorites and some new ones to try. Choices this year will be Jesse’s Chili, Chicken Noodle, Creamy Knephla, Baked Potato Chowder, Corn Chowder, Cheesy Bacon Ham-burger, Bacon and Potato Chowder, Creamy Chicken Wild Rice, Sauer-kraut/Sausage and Split Pea. M-M-Good! Home-baked breads and a beverage are included in the price of $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for chil-dren under 12 years of age and it’s all you can eat. Soups and beverages are served in real china cups, in

keeping with the theme of an old-fashioned soup kitchen from the days past.

The Annual Cookie Walk will be held at the same time. A wide vari-ety of Christmas goodies will be available for your choosing. Do your Christmas baking the easy

way.

Mark your calendars for Soup on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Opera House Lobby and Gallery.

The second performance of “Christmas Comedy and Carols” will start at 3 p.m. that same afternoon. Catch the Christmas spirit with this comedy and music event featuring comedy sketches and musical per-formances by several area actors. All tickets are general admission and will be sold at the door. $10 for adults and $5 for those 18 and under. Re-freshments will be served. FYI—the first performance of this production is Friday, December 11 at 7 p.m. at the Opera House Lobby and Gallery.

All events are fundraisers for the res-

toration of the historic Opera House.

Hope to see you there!
