Take These Thoughts With You On Your Journey To
Your Dreams
Posted by Rev Carol Ingle
Don't ever forget that you are unique. Be your best self and not an imitation ofsomeone else.
Find your strength and use them in a positive way. Don't listen to those who
ridicule the choices you make.
Travel the road that you have chosen and don't look back with regret. You have to
take chances to make your dreams happen.
Remember that there is plenty of time to travel another road - and still another - in
your journey through life.
Take the time to find the route that is right for you. You will learn something
valuable from every trip you take, so don't be afraid to make mistakes.
Tell yourself that you're okay just the way you are. Make friends who respect your
true self.
Take the time to be alone, too, so you can know just how terrific your own
company can be.
Remember that being alone doesn't always mean being lonely; it can be a beautiful
experience of finding your creativity, your heartfelt feelings, and the calm and
quiet peace deep inside you.
Don't ever forget that you are special and you have within you the ability to make
your dreams come true.

DONT YOU QUIT - FOR YOU
(you know who you are)
When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,When the funds are low and the debts are high,And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-Rest if you must, but don't you quit.Life is queer
with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,And many a fellow turns aboutWhen he might have won had he stuck it out.Don't give up though the pace seems slow -You may succeed with another blow.Often the
goal is nearer thanIt seems to a faint and faltering man;
Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup;And he learned too late when the night came
down,How close he was to the golden crown.Success is
failure turned inside out -The silver tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,It might be near when it seems afar;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit -It's when things seem worst that you must not
quit.

Earth Magick
Posted by Whispr
Earth is our only home.It is that from which mythologically we sprang, and in its moist soil we
bury our deceased. From its surface we pull verdant vegetables and healing
plants. Animals graze atop it, and within it lie riches of gold and silver,
precious stones and oil. Until recently, no living thing-save birds-left its
surface for more than a few moments.
The ancient goddesses of the Earth have survived to this day in the guise
of Mother Nature, a deity being reclaimed by nature conscious souls in the
dawning of the twenty-first century.
The Earth was once worshipped for its own sake, and today it is newly
revered as our home and sustenance.
Without it we would perish.
Ecological movements have sprung up to fill the need of protecting our
planet. Spaceship Earth, as it came to be called once we had succeeded in
leaving its atmosphere and gazed at its bluish mass from space, is Gaia, ourMother, our home, our ALL.
It always has been.
As such, it has entered into religious and magickial thought and practice
for thousands of years. They are as ageless as the thrust of a mountain. In our
earthy spells lie the roots of all magick, for if all forms of magick are
not of this element, they are certainly performed upon the Earth.
Think of a freshly dug handful of earth. Smell the richness of the fertile
soil. See the striking color, from whitest clay to volcanic red to blackestblack. This is the fertilizing nature, the storehouse of vitamins and
minerals essential to life. This is also an excellent arena on which (or with
which)
to practice magick. Here is some of that magick.

THE EARTH BED
If you are sick, find a spot where the Earth is bare, uncovered with
concrete, plants, leaves-pure fresh soil. Sit or lie down on the Earth.
Mentally see your wound or disease sinking into the Earth. Feel the pain
and anguish, the physical and emotional effects of the problem running down
into the ground beneath you.
Sense the rhythm of the Earth-feel the steady beat of nature pounding
away.
It should pulsate in tune with your heart, pounding until you feel your
whole body undulating with energy. Then feel it coming-cool, deep, soft
energy rising from the ground up into you.
Rise, dust yourself off, and check to see if you feel different.
If you are bed-ridden or otherwise cannot do this, have a dish or pot of
fresh soil in your sickroom. Earth gives off healing vibrations and its
presence will aid your recovery.
A simple method would be to place a potted plant in your sickroom. Not
only will the plant lend its own healing energies (ivy is great and will
cause no strange looks) but the soil in which it is placed will aid you as
well.
TO LOSE YOUR TROUBLES
Take a handful of earth and gaze into it; pour into it all your problems.Outline in minute detail all of those problems plaguing you. When you are
finished, throw the dirt behind you and walk away from it, not turning
back.
AN EARTH CHARM
Tie up in a small green square of cloth some fresh, rich soil. Firmly tie
this so no earth can escape. Carry this with you if you have troubles
with stability, security, and self-control; if you are apt to let your
emotions rule your life; if you are constantly angry or nervous. This amuletof earth will help.
EARTH SCRYING
Fill a small flat vessel at least seven inches in diameter with earth.
Sit relaxed and gaze not only at but into the soil. You will eventually
begin to notice the symbols staring up from the earth.
8/3/2019 December Winter 2011 Enchanted Forest Magazine
14/56
AN EARTH PROTECTION BOTTLE
Into a long, small bottle pour fresh, clean soil. Fill it to the top and
cap it. Place this bottle near the entrance, preferably in a window, to
guard against evil entering into your home. In past ages the earth was thought
to
confound evil spirits and demons, who had to count every grain of earth in
the bottle before entering the dwelling. Today evil spirits are seen as
negativity which floats around the Earth in large quantities. This negativity
can enter your home. Therefore, this earth protection bottle can be useful in blocking
negativity from entering your house.
TO PROTECT CHILDREN
To protect them while away, throw a handful of earth or sand after them
as they leave, without their knowledge. This will ensure their safety.
A LONG- TERM EARTH SPELL
This spell is ideal if you are a good gardener, and if you have a need
that you don't mind waiting for several months before it manifests. Take a
seed from a plant that is symbolically related to your need.
Over a pot of soil or a special plot of land, hold the seed in your power
hand and visualize your need strongly.
Speak to the seed. Tell it why you need its help to make your need come
to fruition. Then plant the seed, giving it loving encouragement, and water.
Tend to the seedling when it appears and be sure that the plant doesn'tdie due to your own neglect or carelessness. If this happens your need won't
manifest. At least, not until you do another spell. If the plant grows up
healthy and happy expect your need to arrive. Once it has, take very good
care of your magical plant, for it not only represents your need, but it also is now
a growing, living thing, which you brought to life in order to fulfill your
need. You are responsible for the plant. Take care of it and it will sing to
you alone all the secrets of earth magick.
A VARIATIONIn a plot of prepared land, sow the seeds of an appropriate plant in the
form of a symbol or rune representative of your need. Tend to the garden.
When the seedlings first pop up draw a circle around the symbol in the earth
with the forefinger of your power hand. Stand in quiet contemplation of the
growing, living symbol of your need. As it has sprung into existence, so too
shall your need.

Moon Gardening
~by Solstice Moon~
There is nothing more beautiful at night than looking up at the Moon and
looking down at its audience. A symphony of beautiful flowers that stand
at attention, when the night comes upon us!
Whether you would like an Herb Garden, a Medicine Wheel Garden, or maybe
a Fairy Garden, these themes can help you with ideas to bring Mother Earth
alive, not in your imagination, but in your gardens and your hearts. So, each
month, we will bring you a new theme.
A Moon Garden is flowers that bloom at night. They are generally white, but
can be in other pale shades.
Depending on the Hardiness zone you live, there are many flowers you can
plant for your Moon Garden. Just be sure to check for your particular zone
or call your local extension office.
Listed below are just a few of the flowers suggested for your Moon Garden.
Only some of these bloom at night, but the rest of them make wonderful
additions to the Moon Garden.
I hope you get as much pleasure from yours as I do from mine!

Ten Ways to Beat the Holiday Blues
Posted by Whispr
Tips for overcoming the stresses of this season of high expectation. It's that time of year again, when into the dark little month of December we squeeze
Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, New Year's Eve, and myriad other celebrations. Throw into
the mix a generous dose of unrealistic expectations, budget-busting shopping, darker days,
colder weather, excess eating and drinking, and no wonder that along with "peace on earth,
goodwill toward men," come anxiety, exhaustion, and depression.
But this year, with Omega Institute cofounder Elizabeth Lesser's soulful tips, you can do
something to spin your stress into the gold that is the promise of the season.
Tip #1: Be Realistic
The reality of many people's holidays includes too much to do and not enough time, too
much to purchase and not enough money, and too much to eat and not enough willpower.
On the other hand, some people experience not enough family, fun, and friendship.
Fighting against the reality of your life at this moment will only make you bluer. Instead, be
kind to yourself, seek support, and even laugh at yourself every now and then.
Tip #2: Create Your Own Traditions
As families change and grow, traditions change as well. For example, if you are a working
woman who had a stay-at-home mother, instead of trying to reproduce the exact old-
fashioned holiday of your childhood, do only what you can. As long as you do them with a
joyful heart, the meals, decorations, and celebrations you create will become your family's
cherished rituals. If you are divorced, be as harmonious and generous as you can with your
ex. It will be the best gift you give to your kids this year. If you are single or far away from
your family, invite others into your home and give the words "extended family" newmeaning.
Tip #3: Help Others
Not because you should, but because it is the best antidote to self-pity and seasonal
sadness. Find someone who is struggling more than you are, lend them a helping hand, and
remember the real meaning of the holidays.
Check out Beliefnet's Charity & Service channel for more on how serving others is good for
8/3/2019 December Winter 2011 Enchanted Forest Magazine
20/56
Tip #4: Seek Sacred Space
Drop into a church, mosque, synagogue, Hindu temple, or . . . you get the idea. Sometimes
just sitting in sacred space can remind you of the true meaning of the holidays.
Most places of worship welcome all people, even those just looking for a touch of grace in
the midst of a stressful day. Instead of hurrying by that church you have passed a hundredtimes on the way to work, take a moment to enter its doors and sit quietly, imbibing the
atmosphere and the prayers of its members.
Tip #5: Care for the Temple of Your Body
Eat well, drink a lot of water, exercise, and then be merry. Instead of making one more
feeble New Year's resolution to join a gym or take a yoga class, do it right now. You will be
amazed at how the smallest bit of movement will lift your spirits, and how reducing the
amount of junk food, sugar, and alcohol you consume will reduce your blues. And sleep--for goodness' sake, do whatever it takes to get enough of it. Sleep deprivation is
at the root of many people's depression.
Tip #6: Be Financially Responsible
Don't close your eyes the next time you use your credit card. Overspending during the
holidays will not only increase your stress now, but will also leave you feeling anxious for
months afterward as you struggle to pay the bills.
Buck the holiday system of excessive gift-giving, and practice simplicity, creativity, and basic
human kindness.
Tip #7: Breathe
Several times during your busy day, put down what you're holding--your shopping lists, your
third cup of coffee, your date book, the phone call you should be making--and sit quietly for
just 60 seconds. Take in a full breath, let it pool gently in the bottom of your lungs, and then
release it slowly. Inhale deeply again, and exhale with an audible sigh.
Inhale again; exhale with a long "aaahh." With each exhalation, let your shoulders drop and
your jaw relax. Do this a couple of times, with your eyes closed. Let the "aaahh" sound
emerge from your belly, move up into your heart, and drift out into space as you exhale,
slowly, smoothly, steadily.

21/56
Tip #8: Grieve
If a friend or family member has recently died, honor his or her memory. Create an altar
with pictures of those you love; light candles every night for someone you have lost; play
sacred music and allow yourself to cry, remember, and heal.
Tip #9: Forgive
Forgiveness is the salve that heals a broken spirit. Forgive all sorts of people this holiday
season--those from your past, your work, your family, and the ones in the news you love to
hate.
Read the stories of people (like Martin Luther King, Jr., or Pumla Gobodo Madikizela of
South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission) who have used forgiveness to move
mountains. If they can do it, so can we.
Tip #10: Love...Everything
Love it all. From the corny Christmas music to the house guests who won't leave. Love even
the hard times; even the cranky and crooked people of the world; even yourself, with all of
your imperfections.

When Love is not enough
To take away the pain
When Love is not enough
To open your heart for meThen its time to move on
To make a new step again.
Only in Unconditional Love
we can be together.
Only in Unconditional Love
We will meet again.
In Unconditional LoveAre no limits, and separation dont exist

Grateful
There are children in another country, going to sleep everyday without something to eat.
They don't have rooms so their mother could say "Keep it tidy and neat".
They don't have schools to go to, so that they can sit and learn.
The way these children have to live would make your head turn.
The adults and parents have it no better, their lives get worse each day.
These people don't even have a church to go to on Sunday.
Then they are homeless people all over, who can only sleep and eat where they can.
No one should have to exprience that no child, woman or man.
Then there are people in hospitals, stuck there because their ill or sick.
If all these people had a choice this is a life they would not pick.
To the people who can read this, we all have it so good.
We have a computer to go on, and other good things like everyone should.
Yet, we complain everyday about how life sucks or how its so dumb.
Do you know that they are people who would "kill" to not feel so numb?.
We have a bed to go to time after time.
We may not be rich, but let's thank God that our lives are so sublime.
You may not always get what you want, don't get mad, don't be hateful.
Cherish every single thing that you have, be grateful.

Ten Top Tips for Avoiding the Flu1. Wash your hands. (Rub briskly under hot running water for at least 30 seconds.)
2. Don't use antibacterial soaps. (They encourage the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.)
3. Drink lots of fluids. (Especially hot herbal antibacterial teas such as sage, thyme, rosemary.)
4. Start your day with a cup of cool yogurt or hot miso soup. (Both encourage strong immunity.)
5. Make nourishing soups with the immune-enhancing roots astragalus and eleutherococcus.*
6. Spray your nasal passages with a saline solution or a xylitol rinse. (Kills viral particles.)
7. Be wary of diets that radically alter what you eat. (They tend to depress the immune system.)
8. Eat well-cooked leafy greens like kale, collards, and mustard greens. (Strengthens immunity.)
9. Add lots of arugula and watercress to your salad. (They're antiviral.)
10. Eat garlic. (Even powdered, even cooked.) Eat ginger. (Or drink it.)
If you do get the flu, elder berry (Sambucus nigra) tincture or syrup may
shorten its stay.

How to achieve happiness
Posted By Breeze
For a start, it is possible to divide every kind of happiness and suffering into two main categories:
mental and physical. Of the two, it is the mind that exerts the greatest influence on most of us.
Unless we are either gravely ill or deprived of basic necessities, our physical condition plays asecondary role in life. If the body is content, we virtually ignore it. The mind, however, registers
every event, no matter how small. Hence we should devote our most serious efforts to bringing
about mental peace.
From my own limited experience I have found that the greatest degree of inner tranquility comes
from the development of love and compassion.
The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes.
Cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. This helpsremove whatever fears or insecurities we may have and gives us the strength to cope with any
obstacles we encounter. It is the ultimate source of success in life.
As long as we live in this world we are bound to encounter problems. If, at such times, we lose hope
and become discouraged, we diminish our ability to face difficulties. If, on the other hand, we
remember that it is not just ourselves but every one who has to undergo suffering, this more
realistic perspective will increase our determination and capacity to overcome troubles. Indeed, with
this attitude, each new obstacle can be seen as yet another valuable opportunity to improve our
mind!
Thus we can strive gradually to become more compassionate, that is we can develop both genuine
sympathy for others' suffering and the will to help remove their pain. As a result, our own serenity
and inner strength will increase.

The choices of fear or LovePosted by Chayenna
In the world of duality we have two possibilities. With this choice we also determine the experience we
have in our daily lives. If you look back to your situations that you had in the past, and who returns every
time back in your life we can often see clearly what our choices have been.
A choice we make from Love dont give us feeling of doubt, dont gives us any questions about if it will be
right or wrong, and dont gives overwhelming emotions. Inwardly, we know that the choice we made and
all what brings it further on our path will be good for ourselves and those around us.
A choice of fear always brings despair, and is often based on old beliefs from past experiences, also
upbringing, religion or education are part of it. We response on it with our own uncertainty and we try to
hold on to what we knew and what is safe, even when we feel unhappy in it.
Because of the many emotions that also come up we become involved in many dramas, and we dont
know to break out of that. We are not aware of our own creation in it.
The inner self and mind, are constantly fighting with each other, what gives a reflection in physically life
and involved the environment.
They projects his own fears to others, on many ways, watch out for this, take care for that, but because
the fears feel so familiar we are not longer aware of it. We become afraid for the fear, and dont dare to
face it. On this way we created again and again new demons, new ghost and shadows around us, and
blame the world and others for our own creations
In it we make again and again the same choices, and we wonder why our lives not changed, why all the
bad things happens to us. And even when we are aware of the fears, its difficult to let them go, because
we fell more afraid for the new unknown then we are afraid for the fear. Life is not longer what it meant
to be, its only a survival with a constant struggle with our self and the people around us.
We attract people with the same fears and just projecting the fears on each other. In it we find our
confirmations of our old believe system. We just stay in a circle what turns around and around until we
break throw it.
When I make a choice I asked myself the question: What will Love do...... It makes me aware of the fears
I felt, aware of the choices I have make in the past in the same situations, and from that I can make achoice from my heart. In that I break throw my old believe systems and create new experience for myself
and the people around me

In an enchanted forest a unicorn is born,
as sunlight glistens off it's golden horn. The faeries play it a lulliby from a distant land,
with instruments of magic, daffodils and sand.
The goblins play hide and seek under a setting sun,
racing with the jackalope, and having loads of fun.
The mermaids and the sea nymphs are braiding their long hair,
while the sphynx is telling riddles to all that are there.
The lepracauns are dancing to a lively Irish tune,
and a centaur slowly prances under the light of the moon
The dragons light up the night with their firey light,
and a phoenix rises up, its fiery trail splitting the night.
The satyr plays a slow song on its pipes of reed,
as the pixies flutter and play a ball game with a single seed.
The manticore and the ogre are buisy playing darts, and the troll and the cyclops are discussing works of art.
The gryphon and the pegasus are giving the elves a ride
to greet the brownies and welcome all who have just arrived.
The giant stands taller than the tallest oak,
yet he treads softly as not to step on folk.
In the enchanted forest, the moon is shining bright
bathing all of its creatures in its slivery light.
Laying in the forest lies the youngest unicorn,
sleeping as the moonlight glistens on its golden horn.

The Love I have
Is not my love at all
But the Love of another
For whome is always there when I fall
Not a sister or brother
But someone who sees me stand tall
I have never found no other
And is always there when I call
Always In my darkest Night
She sends me beautiful light
Nowhere in sight
But the Love brings me great delight
Peace and strength and hope
Always there holding the rope
As bright as the Sunshine itself
My Love is never put on the shelf
I will always remember till the day I am gone
This person never left me alone
Protected me and kept me safe from harm
This person will always be my Golden charm

Finding Soul Self & Family 21.11.11Channeling through Avalon Whitefeather by Asherah and Merlin.
When the Sun rises and the white race walks towards the East, when the black racestand tall and strong in the South, when the yellow race releases the call of the West,
when the red man share all of the hidden world in the North of unmanifest, the and only
then, will humanity be ready to unite and stand together as one.
Each of you, whether individual or collective global community, has a place and a role in
creating balance and harmony in your world. This can only be achieved when you all
work together for the greater good and not for individual gain or personal pleasures.
When you resist trying to be better than each other, resist trying overcome nations after
nation, when you each stop trying to be what you are not and start being what you trulyare. Then you will know harmony.
It is time for soul families to come together, these may be your Earth born families, but
they may not be. Soul families feed the inner need within you just by sharing the same
space as yourself. Earth born families can be soul family, but they may just be Karmic
partners, those with whom you have a karmic connection that needs fulfilling. This can
take the form of a challenge or a debt that needs repaying, either by you to them or they to
you. These people will not ignite your souls purpose, they will often hinder your chosen
path. This is your challenge to overcome in this Earthwalk, some you will and will grow
from, others will not. Soul family will always bring growth through encouragement, loveand sharing of light. When Soul families comes together they light each others way and
become powerful beacons spreading love, wisdom and beauty. A soul who fails to find
their soul family, or allows themselves to be parted from them through other distractions,
becomes weakened, their inner light begins to fail and many will find themselves starved
of the things that make them feel good inside themselves, they will become depressed,
stressed and possibly mentally unwell. When you walk with those that drain your energies
rather than empower your soul self, you cannot fulfill your purpose and cannot find true
inner happiness.
When a soul family is also your Earthborn family, there will be much spirituality, sharing
and love shared and when they stay together and stay strong, they are a force for good.
But with so many worldly distractions, many stray from this loving family and tensions
rise when other soul members can see the light of another dimming by outside influences,
this is when the soul must be strong and allow that person to grow until they are ready to
rejoin the soul family of light.

It is time for humanity to realize that all that glitters is not necessarily gold, all that shines is
not necessarily a flame of love and compassion. Flames that are not fed with the light will
eventually falter and fail, but often not before ensnaring the unwary. To allow the inner
flame to be fed, you must first learn to open your heart centre, to trust the feelings that
arise there, for your heart centre has the ability to recognize soul family, to distinguish
between soul family, karmic challenges and darker energies at work.
When a soul family member is recognised, a different sensation to that of the love of a
partner or Earth born family member, occurs. It is a sensation one feels when the beauty
of the Earth speaks directly to you, it is the sensation of a moment when spirit draws close
and a guide or angel makes a connection with you for the very first time. It is a sensation
that no words can explain because it is different for each of you, but there is a deep inner
knowing , a deep connection and no matter what another may say, you just know .Others may not understand, they cannot it they have not experienced that connection for
themselves. Once they have and they know , then there is an instant recognition and
connection between you, you are soul family and understand this without the need for
words or explanations, you will see it in each others soul, yet not with physical eyes, but
with the all seeing, all knowing eyes of the soul.
The time of separation is upon you all, the time to release yourselves from that which does
not feed the souls flame. You have been separate from your soul selves for too long, nowyou must separate yourselves from all that holds you back from yourself, all that promotes
a separation from your soul self. You must separate instead from the illusion of the
material world you have all created, and reunite once more with the soul self and your
soul families. This can only be achieved when the focus of separation is amended.
If something, some situation or some person is not feeding your inner flame, then you are
allowing this to happen, causing your separation from your soul self. You have the power,
not the situation or another person, but you, you have the power to remove yourself from
the situation or person who does not feed you on an inner level. It is not anyones fault,
you have a choice, YOU have to do something to amend it. That time is NOW.Take time in quiet sacredness, allow the situation or person to enter your consciousness,
then take it/them down into your heart centre, allow whatever feeling that stir to rise up,
let yourself experience sensations and feelings. If these feelings make you feel loved,
warm, cared for, relaxed and protected, then this is conducive to your soul self. If
however, the sensations that arise cause you to feel tension, sadness, pain, anger or
anything negative, then you have a choice now whether to remove yourself from this
situation or person, to allow your soul self to feel free again, or to remain trapped.

Be careful with these exercises, it is all too easy to allow the mind of the ego to tell you
there is anger or pain, or that there is love and hope that things will change. You must
learn to differentiate between the emotions that arise from the head and those that truly
arise in the heart centre, for there may be those with whom you have separated believing
it best for your soul only to find there is a longing attached to them and they are indeed
part of your soul family. Only repeated working in this manner, working with opening
and trusting the heart centre, will show you your true soul self and family.Music, drumming, chanting and singing all restore the soul self and help bring balance for
sound is both cleansing and healing, destroying negative energies and encouraging positive
vibrations. Use these tools to assist your soul self to rise and shine its beauty for all to see.
Seek out those with wisdom in these techniques to assist you in reclaiming your soul self,
come together in circles of love and light often for you will recharge each other.
I am you, she and he
I am all that is and will be
I am the light of the universe within the darkWhen to your souls call you truly hark.
Our Blessings to you all Asherah and Merlin.

A dagger, or is an athame acceptable?Posted by LilWren
Tradition dictates what the ritual knife is called and its design
requirements. In many Trads (traditions), the ritual knife is
called a "dagger." But I am aware that at least some do call their
ritual knife an "athame." Many look for a black handle, while
others like a natural or brown handle. Many look for a double edge
while others accept a single edge.
Does any of this matter?
Yes and no. Although many old-time Trad Witches will say the answer
is very clear, it's not that simple. There are several issues
involved and they should all be considered:
Issue #1: The Preference Of The Practitioner
Witches have always selected what they accept and what they do not
accept for personal use and ritual by deciding for themselves what
they prefer. "If it feels right, use it." Thus, the practitionershould use a dagger they feel comfortable using, and call it what
they like. Some will say this is the most important issue because
the preference of the practitioner has always been the ultimate
standard.
8/3/2019 December Winter 2011 Enchanted Forest Magazine
47/56
Issue #2: Tradition Sides With "Dagger", Not "Athame"
Most Old Craft folk used any knife handy as a ritual knife. They
called this knife surprisingly, a "knife" or a "dagger." Sounds
simple, but this is true.
The word "athame" comes from the Western Occult Tradition, or
Ceremonial Magick. The Western Occult Tradition has a history very
different and separate from the British Magical Arts. The term
"athame" is simply not a traditional term in witchcraft.
Issue #3: Trad Tradition
It is always preferable to follow the Trad you have accepted. If
you are dedicated or initiated in a Traditional Witchcraft Trad
and have been taught certain practices and customs, you should have
a very good reason if you wish to do something other than what youhave been taught.
Conclusion:
So, all things being equal, what should the average person do?
I use a plain dagger. It is about 10" long, is double-edged and ithas a black-brown wooden handle. There is nothing carved on the
handle. I like it but I also use a short staff, a wand, and my hand
in ritual and in spellwork. I use my hand most often. I use the
dagger least often.

certainly have no objection.
Here is lilwren,s tool of her trade.hmm what would you call it a dagger
or Athame.I is double edge, from middle east,,it is near 5 inchs long, end is wrapped
with leather, two sided edge,I got it from my dad,so it feels right for me to
use,,it has seen many rituals, blessings etc, blessed by the moon with her many faces.love and light lil Wren

Is Being a Traditional Crafter Easy?
My Response: Yes and No
One thing you will discover is that Trad Crafters are generally very passionate about TheOld Craft. But like everything else in life, while being a Crafter is usually interesting,
meaningful, challenging, and downright fun, sometimes it can be difficult.
Nothing worthwhile in life is easy.
To me it was not a choice whether to be a Traditional Crafter or not. I had to be a Trad
Crafter. The spirituality and connection with Nature was more than I could resist. The
possibilities of what I could learn and the opportunities that the Old Craft afforded were
simply too great. So today, even when there is a problem, I still feel I am did the right
thing, I'm walking the path of the divine Truth, and I am close to the spirits and to thegods. I couldn't possibly do anything else.
You see, Crafters are not Crafters because it is easy. Crafters are Crafters because they
are home. It is close to Nature, it is exhilarating, liberating, and comforting.
But what is good for me may not be meaningful to you. Only you can tell. Frankly, most
people are not fit to be a Trad Crafter. So, you must look within you.
I think if you sense the True Craft is good for you, you will be aware of it. It may take youtime to discover your true feelings, but one day it will become very clear to you which path
you really wish to follow. Then, if you decide to become a true Seeker and make the effort
needed to master the Traditional Craft, then the time spent and the huge effort needed to
become a Crafter will turn your path
into an adventure and a pleasure.
Only you can decide.

Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life forceenergy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of beinghappy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the
Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided lifeforce energy."
A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reikitreats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficialeffects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many havereported miraculous results.

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many
beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.
Many have reported miraculous results.
Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that
everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady
and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical
or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.
An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual
sense, but is transferred to the student during a Reiki class.

At the Enchanted Forest we try and maintain an "open policy" with this is mind we ask that all Groups
created by members are created and open for all - No groups should be set to private. Thank you all for
your continued support and input in the Forest.
And to be sure is not another group of the same topic..many groups have been here long time and have
gathered all sorts of information and we like to utilize them as much as possible..
So before putting one together check through to make sure is not another..
And when putting a group together ..please have info ready or discussions along with picks..have noticed
some groups get started ..but without info or description or any discussions..we usually wait a week to give
person time to do so..then if nothing is added ..will usually remove the group..
We try to keep them active and share the contents of these groups with members plus we always have new
people coming in..also helps to make sure these groups are updated.
