PUBLIC NOTICE DECLARATION OF BOATING ACTIVITY EXEMPTION Marine Safety Act 2010 (Vic) Section 203(3) I, RACHEL GUALANO, Deputy Director, Operations and delegate of the Director, Transport Safety, make the following declaration under Section 203(3) of the Marine Safety Act 2010. For the purposes of the boating activity by Kiteboarding Victoria at the waters of 13 th Beach, Torquay, all competing vessels and persons competing in the Kite Wave Event Series Competition are exempt from: Competitor vessels during the event only: 1. Exemption from 5 knots within 50 metres of another vessel – clause 2(c); 2. Exemption from 5 knots within 200 meters of the waters’ edge – clause 4(a). EXEMPTION CONDITIONS: Competitors are exempt from item 1 – 2 in the above list when competing in the event between the hours of 10.00 AM and 6:00 PM on approved dates. KBV must notify Maritime Safety Victoria of the event dates, at minimum, two (2) business days prior to event being held.
