Arcadia Elementary School offers a unique intermediate setting, serving over 450 young learners in grades 3 through 5. Staff at Arcadia Elementary have the opportunity to focus on the specific needs of intermediate learners, solidifying and building upon critical foundational skills, assets, and attributes necessary for future success. Arcadia is home to 53 staff members working to support six 3rd grade classrooms and seven classrooms at grades 4 and 5. The PLC framework guides the weekly collaborative work of grade-level teams. Arcadia is a Title I building and utilizes a school-wide model to provide intervention supports. Staff at Arcadia have worked diligently at implementation of PBIS systems, emphasizing proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create a positive school environment.
We’re looking for a student-centered, highly collaborative leader who knows how to have fun while working hard. The ideal candidate will be capable of effectively communicating (and further developing!) the school's vision and goals, managing and guiding analysis of school-wide assessment data, and routinely engaging families in our community. This person will be committed to providing strong instructional leadership and will offer encouragement and support to grade level teams as they use the PLC framework to identify and close gaps in learning for every student we serve.
