The Pelamis Wave Energy Converter was the world’s first commercial scale machine to generate electricity to the grid from offshore wave energy and the first to be used commercially.

Project
The Wave hub project is a wave power research project and developed on the south west coast of Cornwall. The hub is a 'socket' sitting on the seabed for wave energy converters to be plugged into.
