    Concept

    You can define an unlimited number of collection elements, which you can then add to collection

    plans to determine what quality results data will be collected and tracked. You can add, change,

    and delete collection elements as your requirements change. You also can customize your

    collection elements.

    In this topic, you will define a collection element.

    8. Use the Collection Elements page to define a collection element.

    Begin by entering a name for the collection element. The collection element name

    can contain alphanumeric characters, spaces, underscores (_), and single quotation

    marks ('). You cannot use words that are reserved for column names in collection

    plans.

    TEMP".

    11. In the Collection Element Type field, you can choose from the three predefined

    collection element types provided by Oracle Quality: Attribute, Variable, andReference.

    You can also choose a collection element type you have customized.

    overwrite it to change the prompt.

    The prompt displays in the Collection Element field in the Results region of the

    Enter Quality Results page.

    17. You can add a hint that appears in the message line when you enter qualityresults during data entry.

    Click in the Hint field.

    Date, Date and

    Time, Comment, and Sequence.

    You cannot change the data type once you have defined the collection element.

    element's quality results values on reports, inquiries, and in the Enter Quality

    Resultspage.

    23. If the data type is Number, enter the Decimal Precision of the specification limitvalues that you can define. You can enter a decimal precision up to 12 places.
