AMENDED REVISED NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)

1.1 GENERAL (e-Tender)

1.1.1 Name of Work:

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Ltd. Invites online open e-tenders from eligible applicants, who fulfil qualification criteria as stipulated in Clause 1.1.3 of NIT, for the work “Contract: AMCC-01: Part design and construction of elevated viaduct (chainage km 6.577 6.546 to km 12.689), depot connection and six elevated stations viz., Nidamanuru, Enikepadu, Ramakrishna Weigh Bridge, Prasadam Padu, Ramavarapadu Ring and Gunadala including design and construction of PEB roof and entry / exit structures of the stations of Pandit Nehru Bus Stand – Nidamanuru Corridor of Vijayawada Metro Project.”

NOTE: - The name of work otherwise mentioned elsewhere in the tender documents shall be

deemed to have amended as above.

The brief scope of the work is provided in Clause A1 of ITT (Volume-1) and Employer’s

Requirement (Volume-3).

(xvi) Inserts for track plinth (track plinth is not in the Scope of this work).

(xvii) Expansion joint, sealant in the expansion joints as per concept plan as per specification.

(xviii) Man holes with manhole covers made of Cast Iron on the deck with locking arrangement.

(xix) Earthing arrangement, drainage system and inserts for signalling masts in the parapets and

other systems as may be required. Location of these inserts shall be as directed by the

Engineer.

(xx) Designing and construction of ground water recharging/rain water harvesting systems in

alternate spans to cater all the piers.

(xxi) Piers including cantilever piers, portal piers and portal beams.

(xxii) The work also includes the construction of piers and pier caps at the start and end of station

area.

(xxiii) Design and construction of foundation systems, pier(s), pier cap(s) and pedestal, bearings

and shear restraining devices at Chainage 6577.000 km 6.546 end. The foundation systems,

piers, pier caps and pedestal at this end of this contract package shall be used for resting

of the superstructure provided by DMRC/Contractor of adjacent package. For this

purpose, the load of adjacent superstructure, shape and size of pier cap will be

provided by DMRC / Contractor of the adjacent package.

(xxiv) Provision for cut-outs in the viaducts required for services in coordination with various system

contractors.

(xxv) Grooves on the parapets.

(xxvi) Provision for MS/ RCC ladders / staircases along with railing for approaching the viaduct track

bed from station platform at both ends for up & down lines shall be inclusive.

(xxvii) At some locations tenderer may have to do cast-in-situ construction for the viaduct depending

on the site constraints.

(xxviii) Demolition/dismantling of RCC framed /steel structures/buildings, masonry buildings including basement, ground and above floors as existing at site on the alignment of viaduct and station locations as indicated in GAD without making damages to the adjacent structures, utilities, etc. including disposing off retrieved materials out of site of work. Demolition/dismantling of road, footpath, kerbstone, central verge, boundary wall, etc. Tenderer must visit the site and ascertain actual magnitude of quantum of work involved for footpaths, kerbstone, central verge, boundary wall, etc. and nothing shall be payable on this account. Retrieved materials obtained from demolition/dismantling shall be property of the contractor. However in case of Foot Over Bridge, the contractor has to hand over the serviceable material at location as directed by DMRC/FOB owning department. Acquisition and evacuation of the properties will be done by the concerned Authority.

(xxix) The contractor has to get necessary permission/ NOC from the railway, road and other

concerned regulatory authorities for block and working in such locations. DMRC will facilitate

for getting them permission from concerned regulatory authorities for working in such

locations.

(xxx) Design and construction of single track and transition viaducts for the portion indicated in the

GAD. Contractor shall account for the provisions for variation in deck width from the standard

deck (for two track) in their quotation and nothing extra shall be payable on this account.

(xxxi) Design and construction of entry–exit connection to depot by viaduct and ramp.

NOTES:-

1) Pile foundation shall be of minimum of 1000mm dia. with or without permanent liners with hydraulic rotary piling rigs or open footing in case pile driving is not feasible.

2) Earth filling of pile cap area to be done with proper compaction with good earth up to plinth level wherever required. For the area falling on the road, backfilling shall be done with sand only.

3) It is obligatory for the contractor to provide a single pier structure in the viaduct of minimum dia. 1.60 m.
