Who are the Stakeholders?Are individuals or institution that are interrelated in the school curriculum.They are the one who put into action and give life to the curriculumThey shape the school curriculum implementationA. Learners at the Center of CurriculumThey are the very reason a curriculum is developed.They make and unmake the curriculum by their active and direct involvement.ow each individual learners contribute to the reali!ation of a planned curriculum would depend on the interaction and internali!ation of the di"erent learning activities.Learners are the primary stakeholders in the curriculum.Considerations must be made such as the following#a$ Ageb$ %enderc$ &hysical' mental and emotional developmentd$ Cultural backgrounde$ Aspiration and personal goals)The success of the curriculum can only be measured by the e(tent of learning that the learners have achieved.). Teachers as Curriculum *evelopers and +mplementers&lanning and writing the curriculum are the primary role of teacher. A teacher is a curriculum maker.Teacher writes a curriculum daily through a lesson plan' unit plan or a yearly plan.Teachers addressesthe goals' needs interests of the learner by creating e(periences from where the students can learn.Teachers design' enriches and modi,es the curriculum to suit the learners- characteristics.Teacher are part of te(tbook committee' faculty selection boards' school evaluation committees or te(tbook writers themselves.Teachers therefore become architects of school curriculum..n the other hand a developed curriculum remains inactive if it is not implemented.At this point' the teachers- role now shifts from */0/L.&/1 to +2&L/2/3T/1.Curriculum implementation is now giving life to the written material with the help of learning.The teachers- role now shifts from &LA33+3% to *.+3%.*oing here implies guiding' facilitating and directing activities.Some would say that the root of the educational problem is the teacher. +t 4ust point out to the inability of the teacher to implement well a curriculum.5. Curriculum 2anagers and AdministratorsThey supervise curriculum implementation' select and recruit new teachers' admit students' procure e6uipment and materials needed for e"ective learning.They also plan for the improvement of school facilities and physical plants.They have privilege to command but at the same time to lead the institution.They are responsible for the ,nal decision making in terms with the school purpose.They are responsible to the kind of curriculum their school will o"er and how these are implemented.7. &arents as Supporters to the CurriculumMy child and my money go to this schoolIt simply means that the parents are the best supporters of the school, especially because they are ones paying for their child education.ow do parents shape the curriculum and why are they considered as stakeholders?A. /"ective parental involvement in school a"airs may be linked to parent educational program which is central to high 6uality educational e(periences of the children.+t results to better communication between home and school' in this case there will be lesser disciplinary problems' greater student motivation and more responsibility for learning.Thus results to greater academic achievement of students.8. &arents involvement e(tends from the con,ne of the school to the home.The parents follow up the lesson of their children.&rovides curriculum materials that are not provided in schools&rovide permission for their children to participate in various activities outside the campus.C. +n most schools the &arent Association is organi!ed.+n most cases &arents association have strengthened the school curriculum by giving support to various activities and assisting on the accomplishment of the school-s curriculum.+t is called &arents Teacher Association or &arents Teacher Community Association.9. Community 2embers as Curriculum 1esourcesThe community members may provide materials in the e(isting local community can very well substitute for what are needed to implement the curriculum. 1espected community members maybe included in school boards.Some can become resource speakers that can provide local and indigenous knowledge in the school curriculum.+t can provide books' material and facilities in the school.:. .ther Stakeholders in Curriculum +mplementation&rofessional .rgani!ationsThey are being asked by the curriculum especially to contribute in curriculum review because they have voice in licensure e(amination' curriculum enhancement and others.%overnment+t has a great stake in the curriculum implementation.+t is represented by *ep/d for basic education curricula and C/* for tertiary and graduate education curriculaWhile Supreme Courts has professional bar e(am to certify lawyers and &hilippine2edical Association through its medical board e(ams for Licensure /(amination for *octors.8eliefs;cial curriculum.
