Dell Controlpointbe in Control
Laptops use a host of applications and utilities to help enable basic system functions.
But sometimes, just one system function can have multiple interfaces or utilities. It can
get confusing. Luckily, Dell™ ControlPoint was designed to simplify and unify the execution
of what should be simple system functions.
ControlPoint integrates best-of-breed software and utility solutions into one helpful
solution. It provides a consistent interface — or look and feel — across multiple applications,
so users can experience improved usability, navigation, and general appearance.
Dell Controlpoint benefits
ControlPoint offers a modular architecture, which allows installation of the only applications,
plug-ins or utilities an organization’s IT department or end-user requires — without interfering
with existing group policy settings.
The modular architecture provides a consistent, easy-to-install (modular), use (navigate), and
maintain (push/pull data) framework for key applications and utilities such as Connection
Manager, Security Manager, and BIOS/drives/dlls, as well as System Manager functions such as
Power Management, Display Management, and Presentation Modes.
Dell Controlpoint interfaCe
The Dell ControlPoint interface is simple, consistent, and easy to use. It is accessed via a
Launcher Menu with Active Tab and a Main Content Pane.
