DelMar Race of the Day Analysis optixeq.com ANALYSIS by Emily Gullikson This not the typical race to highlight for OptixPLOT given the changes in complexion from Standard to Surface/Distance; however, some of those changes create concerns with a pair of the shorter morning line runners, #5 SHORT OF EZ and #6 PURIANO. Both horses lack races on Surface/ Distance as displayed as “diamonds” in the upper right-hand corner. While they Plot favorably on Standard, they are project to be part of the “sun” contention as well as the high 84 SpeedRate. This also should be in play for #3 RMANIE’S GREY SUIT based on the Quad III Circle on Surface/Distance. Those factors (Contention/SpeedRate) are also things to consider with morning line favorite #1 MIRACLE MARCH as a Circle on the front end. While that should be considered in terms of trip and value, to his credit he has the benefit of a race (and a win) at the Surface/Distance and on Standard has a chance to get loose on the front end for a “LONE” type trip. #4 FOR HIM is to be considered based on his Surface/Distance PLOT position as a Square in Quad I, especially in a field with many unproven at today’s distance. His Standard Quad III Circle, is far from ideal, however reading over his recent OptixNOTES he has been entered as a “rabbit” for a stablemate, and that matches up with his Standard PLOT. He is well spotted in this event by Knapp, placed where he can compete. With today’s distance in play along with the “sun” contention and high SpeedRate, the trip should be favorable to #2 AUTUMN DAY as a stalking Square from Quad II/IV. He will be making his second start on this circuit for Miyadi, and reasonable upside can be projected off his October 24 th race.
