Thank you for your support!

The Delmarva Paint Horse Club was formed on August 1, 1991 by a small group of Paint Horse enthusiasts who wanted to promote the American Paint Horse in the State of Delaware and on the Eastern Shores of Maryland and Virginia. A junior/youth club was established in 1997. This gave our youth members the opportunity to hold their own special events, fundraising activities, awards and recognition of achievements. The DJPHC has also been very active in community service and supporting various charitable organizations. In recognition of Delmarva Paint Horse Club's achievements and charitable

contributions it has been awarded the APHA Gold Star award every year since 1995. The club has been awarded the APHA Club of Distinction Award in 2002 and 2004, also receiving APHA Club of Distinction Honorable Mention in 2006 and 2008 and a Certificate of Participation in 2010.

SPONSORSHIP The Delmarva Paint Horse Club thanks everyone who has been a sponsor for our club in the past and would like to present our new program. We are a non-profit organization so all donations made are tax deductible and are used to fund our scholarship and awards programs. Each year we award a scholarship(s) to eligible high school seniors /college students.

The DPHC/Directors meeting was held at First State Crane’s conference room in Felton, DE. The following were present: Stephanie Hearn, Judy Hayden, Heather Mounts, Linda Paulson, Betsy Leager, Becky Timmons, Lori Ireland, Jamee Elliott and Cindy Harris. Stephanie called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm. The previous minutes were read and accepted. The Treasurer’s report was discussed and accepted. Bills: Heather has a bill for HSW 2015 maintenance contract for $175.00. Betsy made a motion to pay the bills and Becky seconded. The motion was passed. Correspondence: Stephanie stated Judy received a flyer from the DE Equine Foundation for the scholarship awards dinner fundraiser held on 3/28 at the Harrington Moose Lodge. Jamee will post the flyer on Facebook. Stephanie stated APHA send her an email with a directive on the Sept/Oct show dates for 2015. She will send a variance letter to APHA to keep our date for Oct open and to move to the Sept date for this year only. Committee Reports: Show: Stephanie stated she has started hiring judges for Sept. We will be sharing the fairgrounds with a camping show that weekend. Our exhibitors will not be allowed to park in the grave, grove or triangle area in front of Quillen Arena that weekend. Judy suggested to do a raffle for a corn hole game at the May show. She will check into this. Betsy priced 14 oz. cups instead of ribbons for the placings this year. After much discussion, Betsy made a motion to purchase 500 total cups for the placings. Jamee seconded and the motion passed. Stephanie stated we would need to come up with someone to be the Show Manager for the fall show. This is her busiest time of the year and would feel as though she would not be giving the show her full attention. She will do May and August however.
