Overview
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 2
Webseite with climate data infos:
https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/climatedata.php
Preview of climate data of currently
selected location and selection from
database in tree view
Funktionality:
Filter
Direct use of climate data in different formats (c6b, wac, epw)
Colored identification of available data (e.g. green = rain/precipitation)
Climate data preview and importImport of own data into the user-specific climate database
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 3
Manual reference to own climate data files
• Display of base parameters in Material Reference Dialog
• Simplified material file import: Import into project directory
Only confirmation of target filename necessary
Material file will be copied into project directory, subdirectory materials and referenced relative to project file – suitable for transferring project directories and storage of projects independently of DELPHIN installations
• Duplicate material file…
Useful for creating material variations, afterwards the copied material can be edited in material editor
Material reference dialog

• Editing materials
Edit with material editor: Edit…
Edit with text editor: Open in text editor…
Tip: with the text editor, many small changes can be made real quick, alsocopies of materials (variants) can be saved

Functions for adding, editing, copying and removing material files from the database
Material Database
Display of material
functions side-by-
side with the table
• Materials in project (directory) and user material database can be edited
Recommendation: first edit only project-specific materials
• Create new materials via in the material database view:
Recommendation : start from existing, working material and modify this, instead of
starting from scratch
• Input of individual material parameters/functions via tabs
Material Editor
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 7
Primary properties should be
selected first with these flags
(parametrization options
depend on these flags)
• Editing always applies to respective file (same as with text editor)
• Apply and Ok write content of dialog to m6-file
• Manual, see:
https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/delphin/documentation.php
Material Editor
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 8
Remove
redundant/alternative
parametrization in the same
section (only the currently
shown functions/parameters
remain)
To show currently not defined
parameters
(clearing a value removes the
parameter definition)
Mirror operations:
Construction editing/modelling
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 9
Adding rows/columns:
Konstruktionserstellung/Modellierung
• Three variants:
Insert with given size
Insert, such that total size corresponds to given total width/height
Insert through splitting the selected layer
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 10
• FMI Export support for FMI 1 und 2
see https://fmi-standard.org
Every scalar result can be exported
Any climate condition may be imported
Configuration via FMI Export-Dialog:FileExport Functional Mock-Up Unit…
Functional Mockup Interface (FMI)
List of climate definitions, which have
been configured as external Variable
List of all scalar result quantities, either
from output definitions, or from
models themselves (latter with yellow
background)

• Using MASTERSIM zur Co-Simulation:
See Tutorial: FMI Co-Simulation mit DELPHIN 6DELPHIN_6_Tutorial_FMICoSimulation_de.pdf
Direct import of DELPHIN FMUs into co-simulation scenarios
Several instances of the same FMU may be used concurrently(Example: several soil heat collectors in a district network model)
Functional Mockup Interface (FMI)
DELPHIN FMU, with inputs
and outputs
New models:
VOC/Pollutant source
VOC/Pollutant-Initial condition (adsorbed/gaseous)
Pipe collector model (including support for symmetry)
Temperature-dependend control of energy source:(more complex controls can be implemented via FMI interface)
Modells

and control tolerence

2D/3D simulations optimised:
• Analysis and optimisation of solver parameters, see publication:
Andreas Nicolai und Ulrich Ruisinger; Untersuchung optimaler Numerikparameter fürdynamische hygrothermische 3D Simulationen unter Verwendung iterativerGleichungssystemlöser; 2020; BauSim 2020, Graz
• Improvement of interaction with external simulation workstations/servers via via Remote Solver Server (RSS) protocol:
Login and job-management directly supported in user interface
Improvements when using servers/workstations shared by several users:
Performance
CCM-Editor – Version 1.0
Import of generic data with import assistant (e.g. from Excel, LibreOffice-Calc , text files, measurement data/data logger files etc.)
Creating cyclic annual data (with hourly values) or files with arbitrary time grids (also several year data)
Visualisation of data and content checks with false-coloring in table columns

Improvements in external tools
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 15
POSTPROC 2.0
Extensive Post-Processing Tool
Contains now all mold prediction models
Completely replaces previous/old DELPHIN 4/5 PostProc(the old PostProc is no longer contained in the installer)
Support for vector flow field plots added, as well as model calculations
New, extensive documentation: https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/postproc/documentation.php
Improvements in external tools
Dresden, 07/29/2020 Slide 16
Command line tools have been reworked and improved:
• Tools are in DELPHIN 6 install directory (bin-directory) besides Delphin6 and
DelphinSolver executables (in Mac inside App-Bundle)
• CmdDiscretize:
Enables changing of discretization with command line options
Ideal for script-based variant studies with geometric adjustments followed by automatic grid generation
• DSixOutputConverter:
Tool for (pre)-processing DELPHIN result files
Extensive manual:https://bauklimatik-dresden.de/postproc/documentation.php
Conversion
Extractions/Calculations
Mirroring of data
