Attendance and study habits strongly predict student’s grades, even more than standardized test scores or any other student background characteristics.
Hope for your future can predict high school and college performance & graduation
Grades even predict people’s future salary.● For each point increase in GPA, men and women earned 20%
more money in their jobs 9 years after high school, even after controlling for educational attainment (Miller, 1998).
● Why might this be? Because students who attend class and complete their work are likely to practice work habits needed in college as well as in the workforce.

Plan Your BudgetThe real question is:What kind of lifestyle do you want?
● And then work backwards from there to know what kind of salary you will need to earn to support your lifestyle.
● All things are possible - it’s just about making goals for yourself that will allow you to live the life you want to live!
Some things you might consider for monthly budgeting:● Food (groceries are always cheaper than going out to eat!)● Housing (will you be living with parents or paying your own rent?)
○ Will you have a roommate if you live on your own?● Entertainment (going out to the clubs costs $$$ ;) )
○ Spotify, Netflix, Going out to eat, concerts, dating● Savings (always try to prioritize setting aside some $$ for savings each
month)● Education (loan and/or tuition payments for college)
○ FAFSA can pay up to $6000 of your tuition if you qualify!
