We would like to thank those parents / guardians / care givers who have supported the learners and school throughout the year. Those, who attended the functions at school have contributed to creating memories to talk about in the years to come. The renovations are still a challenge and it would seem as if they will only be completed at the end of next year. The high school look set to remain in the mobiles until the end of term 1 (earlier than that will be a bonus). Please take note that renovations to the admin block are due to commence on Thursday 8 December and therefore there will be no channels of communication until 2017. You may have noticed that some building has started in the parking area. A new guardhouse is being erected, as a second Gr R class will be built for 2017. We are privileged to say that we have had a very busy year. Activities and events have included the class braai, Delta Dash, various camps, Eisteddfod, merit awards, parent feedbacks, parent days, extra-mural activities, AGM, Family Day, outings……..and so the list goes on. Busy means opportunities to interact, grow, learn and prosper. The SGB has been working on a Code of Conduct for parents. This document will be sent to you early in 2017. It contains important guidelines which will be given to you as parents / guardians / care givers. Delta Park School has also been given the instruction from the Department of Education to act as a resource centre. That means, that staff members will be visiting and training identified schools (Diepsloot, Cosmo City, Orlando, Pimville, Brixton, Bosmont, Claremont) in order to empower the staff at those schools and to assist learners who are experiencing learning challenges but do not have the opportunity to attend a school like Delta Park School. We are very excited about this and parents need not worry that time will be taken away from DPS learners. Please take note of the following VERY IMPORTANT dates / events: School starts on Wednesday 11 January 2017 at 7.45 sharp. Learners MUST be dressed in accordance with the school code of conduct. This includes wearing the correct uniform, having neat and tidy hair and boys to be clean shaven. We want to instil a sense of pride in our learners and we need your support in this regard. We wish you all a blessed and wonderful festive season. Should you be travelling, please travel safely and enjoy the time with friends and loved ones. Festive regards Dr. JJ Britz

guidelines which will be given to you as parents / guardians / care givers.

Delta Park School has also been given the instruction from the Department of Education to act as a resource centre. That means, that

staff members will be visiting and training identified schools (Diepsloot, Cosmo City, Orlando, Pimville, Brixton, Bosmont, Claremont)

in order to empower the staff at those schools and to assist learners who are experiencing learning challenges but do not have the

opportunity to attend a school like Delta Park School. We are very excited about this and parents need not worry that time will be taken

away from DPS learners.

Please take note of the following VERY IMPORTANT dates / events:

School starts on Wednesday 11 January 2017 at 7.45 sharp.

Learners MUST be dressed in accordance with the school code of conduct. This includes wearing the correct uniform, having
