Procedures involved in dental implant surgeryDuring dental implant surgery, dental implant is placed in the bone socket of the missing tooth. When the jawbone heals (healing period is 6 to 12 weeks), dental implant will be anchored to the jaw. After healing process, an abutment is connected to the dental implant to hold the crown. Crown is then fitted to the abutment.
