INVESTIGATIONS
BLOOD INVESTIGATIONS:• Total haemogram• Blood sugar levels• Bleeding and clotting time • Urine examination• HIV and HBsAg test.• LFT; RFT; serum electrolytes
• ULTRASONOGRAPHY:Ill-defined region of altered echogenecity similar to subcutaneous fat. Underlying mandibular cortex was intact.Features suggestive of lipoma/ fibrolipoma, suggest FNAC correlation
OTHER ROUTINE INVESTIGATIONS: - ECG - Chest radiograph PA view
Treatment plan
• Excision of the lesion under Local anesthesia.
Pre-operative instructions
• Informed Consent • Inj. Tetanous toxoid.• Xylocain sensitivity test• Inj. Taxim – 1 gm iv
Incision made along the prominent aspect of the swelling
Overlying skin was carefully separated in a lid- like fashion, retracted, and blunt dissection carried out to separate the lesion from the surrounding structures.
Further dissection showed considerable attachment of the lesion to the underlying muscle.
Lesion was completely separated from the surrounding structures and removed

Excess skin was trimmed, and wound closure was done in layers with 4-0 vicryl & 5-0 proline.
Postoperative instructions
• Soft diet for 1 week.• Follow-up after 1 week.• Suture removal to be done after 1 week.• Follow-ups 1 week, 15 days, 1 month, 3
months, 6 months, 1 Year, Then yearly follow up upto 5 years
• Inform SOS
POST OPERATIVE MEDICATION
• Tab. Taxim-O 200 mg, BD• Tab Voveran 50 mg TDS• Tab Rantac 150 mg BD
