Dealing with Difficult People
Dealing with a coworker who may have a communication style that’s challenging for you is common
in the workplace. We all have to deal with people with different backgrounds, communication styles
and habits we may find difficult. This session will help you learn how to cope with these individuals in
the healthiest manner possible and how to take care of your own needs while learning to more
effectively work with others.

Knowing Our Neighbors:
Wisconsin American Indian Nations and Tribal Communities
This session will provide an overview of the history, culture, and tribal sovereignty of each of the
eleven federally recognized American Indian nations and tribal communities located in the state of
Wisconsin. The session will also highlight accurate and authentic instructional resources for teaching
and learning about Wisconsin American Indian nations and tribal communities. Participants will
examine why it is important to generate a deeper and more complex understanding of human
diversity issues and concerns, particularly in regards to American Indian peoples, in a society that is
continually changing.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Lean Yellow Belt Training Learn to be a team lead. Yellow Belt Training covers everything you need to know to lead a Lean
project. This training is ideal for employees who have participated on a Lean project but haven't led
one yet. After completing the course, employees must lead a project to receive full certification.
The class meets twice for a total of 16 hours of training.
Prerequisites: Watch the "Introduction to Lean" and "Lean 101" videos on STAR ELM and talk with your
supervisor about leading a Lean project.
