RESEARCH DIVISION COMMUNIQUÉ SUBMISSION OF RENEWALS TO APPROVED AREC, BREC AND HSSREC ETHICS APPLICATIONS IN RIG

Renewal application forms are now live in the Research Information Gateway (RIG) system for all approved AREC, BREC and HSSREC online ethics protocols. Renewal application can be submitted 2months before current approval expires. Renewal applications should be submitted online within the initial RIG ethics application. Tab 10 for AREC; Tab 11 for HSSREC; Tab 14 for BREC Renewals will henceforth only be accepted on the RIG system and processed accordingly. Renewals linked to manual applications, need to be emailed to the respective ethics committees as indicated below. Renewals in respect of applications for degree purposes must be approved by the supervisor and/ or Academic Leader Research prior to submission. We have a new instance of Moodle for 2021 - Learn2021.ukzn.ac.za The latest Long-Term Support version of Moodle is now active. There are many exciting improvements in Moodle 3.9.
