UKZN COMMUNIQUÉ INSTITUTIONAL PLANNING & GOVERNANCE
INSTITUTIONAL SOFTWARE SURVEY As part of IPG's and ICS's mandate in particular emanating from Project Renewal, we have been tasked with bringing efficiencies in several high-cost areas, one of them being software. As the University gears itself to a more sustainable model and embraces the vision of Blended Learning and process efficiencies, we ask you to complete a short survey about matters related to software. It is your essential feedback that will be used for cost efficiencies and future planning in this area. The survey's primary purpose is to gather information on how many people use educational and other software, where the budget for this software lies, and importantly to establish any software needs that we may not be aware of. To complete the survey, please click here: https://forms.gle/PShdKTd83Wjw9PWTA The survey is entirely anonymous and confidential, and in the first few questions, you will be asked which College, School, or Department you are in. Your email address is not collected. Only aggregated feedback will be provided to the Software Survey Team. The Software Survey Team will follow up with Academic Leaders, Operations Managers, Deans, Deans of T&L, etc., to ensure maximum responses to the survey. Kishore Gobardan, Institutional Planning & Governance.

UKZN COMMUNIQUÉ
PHASED-IN RETURN OF STUDENTS
Abridged notice…..
It is clear that the global threat of COVID-19
continues to be with us, thus requiring the University
to adopt an approach of abundant caution in
returning students to limited campus activities. This
approach aims to ensure that many of the measures
to help minimise the health risks remain in place for
the protection of our students, staff and their
families. The University will thus be implementing
a staggered approach to phase-in the re-opening of
limited on-campus academic activities and related
return of registered students, to campus and/or
residences.
