DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY Your Future You’ll enjoy a career in biology if you enjoy knowing and learning about the processes that governs life. The biology curriculum includes coursework not only in biology but also in chemistry, physics and mathematics. As a student, you’ll spend considerable time in the laboratory and field. In addition, credit internships teach you the skills necessary for employment in specialized areas such as environmental consulting and health sciences. Through the actual performance of laboratory methods, field techniques and work-related skills. You’ll learn how to participate in original research and acquire the skills necessary for a career.
