INDIVIDUAL SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIESTheU.S.governmenthasestablisheddetailedrequirementswhichareoutlinedintheTitle32CFRPart117(FormallytheNationalIndustrialSecurityProgramOperatingManual,orNISPOM),toensuretheprotectionofclassifiedinformation.PartofyourroleasaclearedLockheedMartinemployeeistoprotectournationfromavarietyofthreats.OurNationalSecurityisconstantlyunderattackbyadversariesbothforeignanddomestic;byprotectingclassifiedinformation,youarefulfillingacriticalroleinprotectingournation.
Thistrainingguidewillprovidesecurityproceduresthatarecriticalforclearedemployeestounderstandandcomplywithgovernmentsecurityregulations.Althougheachclearedfacilityadherestosetgovernmentsecuritystandards,implementationproceduresmayvaryfromsitetosite.

Classifiedmaterialshouldonlyberetainedforvalidcontractperformancepurposesanddispositionedwhennolongerneeded.
DestructionofclassifiedinformationmustbeaccomplishedbyauthorizedmethodsandpersonnelONLY.Understandthedestructionmethodsatyourfacility.

Ifyoucommitordiscoverapotentialsecurityincident,immediatelyreportthecircumstancestoyourlocalSecurityOfficeand,ifpossible,ensurethematerialinvolvedisproperlysafeguarded.Whenreportinganincident,becognizantnottodiscloseclassifiedinformationoverunsecuremeans.
Securitypersonnelwillevaluatethecircumstancesandtakeactionsasappropriate.
Byadheringtosecurityprocedures,youensurethatclassifiedinformationisproperlyprotectedandcontributetothenation’ssecurity.
