This laboratory is offered to B.Tech ECE students. The main objective of this laboratory is to
gain the practical hands on experience by exposing the students to various microwave components
such as Reflex klystron and Gunn diode, LED, LASER, passive devices like isolator, circulator, slotted
section, directional coupler, horn antenna, attenuator and terminations etc., including frequency
meter and VSWR meter and optical fibers to verify the characteristics of various microwave
components using microwave test bench. This laboratory is also equipped with fiber optic trainer kits
and modules to analyze the performance of both digital and analog optical fiber systems.

Microprocessors and Microcontrollers Laboratory helps the students to understand and have
hands on-expertise of 8086 assembly language programming using DOS environment and embedded
C programming of MSP430G2 Launch pads. This laboratory houses the hardware which includes
8086 microprocessor trainer kits, 8051 microcontroller trainer kits, MSP430 microcontroller kits and
software MASM, TASM, KEIL, IDE CC STUDIO. This laboratory is offered to B.Tech III Year ECE
students. The features and facilities available in this lab will help the students do their projects and
enhance their knowledge about the latest trends and technologies.

VLSI&ES Laboratory offers to B.Tech ECE students. This laboratory aims at imparting the
knowledge required to design the logic circuits by using necessary simulator (Xilinx ISE 13.4
Simulator/ Mentor Graphics Questa Simulator) to verify the logical / functional operation and to
perform the analysis with appropriate synthesizer and then verify the implemented logic with FPGA
SPARTAN-3E hardware modules/kits. This laboratory is also equipped with TIVA LAUNCHPAD Kit
with associated IDE CCSTUDIO for learning the concepts of microcontroller programming and
subsequently develop TIVA C Series-based embedded system applications.

TM4C123GXL Launch pad and associated Timer ISR to toggle onboard LED using interrupt
programming technique.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory is offered to B.Tech III Year ECE students. This
laboratory is equipped with DSP starter kits with the core processor being Texas manufactured
Floating point / Fixed Point TMS320C6713 the associated IDE CCSTUDIO and licensed software
“MATLAB”. This laboratory exposes the aspects of Digital Signal Processing and Digital Image
Processing. Many of the algorithms and filter designing related to DSP are implemented using
MATLAB software and then realized by programming TMS320C6713 Digital Signal Processor. In this
laboratory, student can verify the functionality of linear & circular convolution, perform Digital IIR &
FIR filtering, and compute optimized DFT using TMS320C6713DSK. Students can also do profiling of
implementation codes of the experiments.

Basic Simulation Laboratory is offered to B.Tech II Year ECE students. The objective of this
laboratory is to enable the students to acknowledge with basic signals, system responses and
statistical properties of a random noise. They can critically analyze the behavior of their
implementation, and observe the specific limitations inherent to the computational platform like
MATLAB. Thus students acquire practical experience with the generation and simulation of basic
signals using MATLAB.
