1. Regional Energy Centre of Western Greece (1998-2002*)

Basic conclusionsTransport the most energy-consuming (50%)

High electricity demand in housing sector (36%)

Strong dependence on fossil fuels, limited RES (2,1%)

Transport the highest percentage in CO2 emmissions(66%)

Public lighting 4% of energy consumption

*Suspended its action due to lack of funding

Energy upgrade of the building shell for the reduction in heating and cooling demand

Energy upgrade of the electro-mechanical installations for the increase of energy efficiency of municipal buildings
