Module aims:

Students study about the typical works (rhymes, songs, children poems and games), types and

characteristics of the children literature of the English-speaking world, and the use of these

works in the classroom.

Module subject:

Overview of genres and topics; traditional and modern works; the role of rhyme, rhythm,

music, motion, dance, humour and play in the holistic development of children in the lower

classes of elementary school; the support of creative language usage: from the plays on words

to poem writing.

Module aims:

The course enriches students’ knowledge about the culture of the English-speaking countries

and develop their linguistic skills and vocabulary. The course also contributes to the increase

countries, mainly about the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

Course X

Title: How to Write a BA Thesis in English

Course code: SZABV 220

Module aims:

The aim of the course is to teach the necessary skills and knowledge to write an English

language seminar papers and a BA thesis in education.

Module subject:

During this course the students are going to cover three main areas. First, the basics of

academic writing, such as designing a parag,raph and writing an academic essay, are revised.

Second, professional reading skills and research types and techniques are studied and tested.

Finally, the most important aspects of writing a thesis paper are covered. Students are

expected to hand in a number of written assignments, test certain research tools and

participate in discussions during the lesson. The end-product of the course is a literature

review paper.
