GENERAL BRIEF The Client requires you to design a CAFE for Fitzgerald’s Park in the heart of Cork city. The Café should provide the customers with a variety of hot and cold drinks and light lunches. The preparation area will be on view to the patrons, so it needs to be well designed and organised. The café will need toilets that are easily maintained as the premises get very busy in the summer months. The café owner requires a name for the premises and a menu card designed. They also require indoor and outdoor seating with a heating system for the cold weather in place over the exterior tables. Please be aware of the Health & safety regulations when designing the café. All students are required to do a survey of the premises and gather a selection of visual of the site location SPECIFIC UNIT OUTCOMES We will begin by drawing from a primary source. Followed by conveying the visual elements to develop through design principles into an original design. We will explore 2D design primarily with some element of 3D and be in the form of a consultation sheet giving the client 3 options. There will be something of an organic nature to the design.
