Available facilities in PICU and NICU of Department of Pediatrics: The Department has one 14 bedded PICU situated at Umaid Hospital and is fully equipped with state of the art equipments including Ventilator, Multipara monitor, Portable Doppler, X-ray machine, End tidal CO2, defibrillation, external pacing, apnea monitoring, central oxygen, Suction and Arterial Blood gas analysis facilities The Department has one 26 bedded NICU situated at Umaid Hospital near labour room and is fully equipped with state of the art equipments including Ventilator, Multipara monitor, Doppler and X-ray machine, defibrillation, external pacing, apnea monitoring, central oxygen, Suction and Arterial Blood gas analysis facilities Trained personnel including senior faculty members and Senior residents are available round the clock to run the PICU and NICU Department is in the process of acquiring whole body cooling units and Amplitude integrated EEG monitoring facilities for management of patients with Perinatal Asphyxia Department is in process of acquiring Nitric Oxide inhalation unit for management of Severe PPHN and ARDS. Department is in process of acquiring 40 top class open care systems and 8 ventilators for new NICU in MDM. Govt of Rajasthan has given approval for starting DM neonatology course at Dr. S.N.M.C. Jodhpur.
