"The prestigious CSI Nihilent national e-Governance Award 2012-13 was awarded to the Project Lakshya - Empowering Consumers: Transparent Supply Chain and Efficient Subsidy Administration at Vishakha-pat- nam as part of 48th Annual Convention of Computer Society of India (CSI-2013)," a ministry press release said. The Ministry has been awarded for developing a Transparency portal which is not only an effective tool of empowering the LPG con- sumers for all their LPG requirements but also an effi- cient mechanism to conduct social audit of LPG consump- tion.(PTI) GM to hike vehicle prices by up to Rs 10,000 from Jan NEW DELHI, Dec 20: General Motors India today said it will hike prices of its entire range of vehicles by up to Rs 10,000 from next month in order to partially offset impact of rising input costs. "We plan to hike prices across our entire product portfo- lio by up to Rs 10,000 from January. This is due to cost pres- sure," General Motors India Vice President P Balendran told reporters. The company currently sells various vehicle brands in the country ranging from hatchback Spark to sports utility vehicle Captiva, priced between Rs 3.33 lakh and Rs 25.71 lakh, respectivley, (ex-showroom Delhi).
