UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS:

Katrina Horn plans to work with AgriLife Research - Crop Testing Program through the summer, then hopefully find employment.

Jessica Koepp has accepted a MEPS fellowship here for graduate school, starting in the fall and said “I’m excited”.

Sarah Coffey will be working as an intern for the Texas Brigades summer wildlife camps at the Texas Wildlife Association office in San Antonio. After her internship ends, she is hoping to pursue a career in Environmental Consulting.

Kent Kieschnick said he plans on working on either sports fields of some kind or sales. He said his options as of now are high school and college levels. He has also applied and interviewed with BWI. He has received no offers at this point but looks forward to hearing back from these opportunities soon.

Kelsey Hoegenauer will be pursuing a master’s degree in Soil Fer-tility at Auburn University starting in the fall.

Michael Frantzen will be be working at Lochinvar Golf Club in Houston.

Erika Delk will be moving to The Netherlands for a year. She will be living with her father. While there, she will work a part time job, travel around Europe, and apply to grad school.

Mitchell Schumann has received an assistantship from NCSU to study plant breeding. He will start there on August 16th. He said he will probably be working on identifying molecular markers for internal heat necrosis.

Sam Floerke will be returning to the family farm in Taft, Texas. He will be farming with his Dad and Uncle.

Mark Hall is our un-dergraduate advisor for students who major or minor in Agronomy and Plant and Environmen-tal Soil Science.

Dr. Wayne Smith is the Associate Head and Graduate Coordinator.

Dr. David Baltensperger is the department head for Soil and Crop Sci-ences.

Whitney Minton is getting married to Trevor Jones in August and they are both going to grad school here. She will be going to graduate school in Soil and Crop Sciences under Dr. Smith and Dr. Starr begin-ning this summer. Trevor is working on his masters under Dr. Sense-man.

Jael Ebeling is getting her M.S. here in Range under Dr. Stephan Hatch and plans to get a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding and work with wheat and/or forages.

Hagan Patterson will be the Assistant Superintendent at Magnolia Creek Golf Club in League City, Tx.

Olivia De Hoyos will be participating in our summer Plant Breeding Internship, here with Dr. Murray for part of the summer and in the Lubbock area for the remainder.

GRADUATE STUDENTS:

Bhoja Basnet will be doing his Post Doctoral at CIMMYT.

Payne Burks is a PhD Candidate, Illinois.

Gerald DeLaFuente is a Phd Candidate, Iowa State.

Kendra Gregory is a PhD Candidate, Washington State.

Ashima Poudel will be moving to Mexico w/husband, Bhoja Basnet.

Chance Robinson is a Soil Scientist with USDA-NRCS, Bryan, Texas.
