the better it will sell.– Manufacturing dates, what the item is used

for, how long it was used at the University, how old it is.

– Condition of the item with comments about dents, scratches, or other distinguishing aspects (i.e. good/great/like new/poor)

• Optional Step 3: Pictures– To get your item on NU Auction even faster you

have the option of taking your own pictures.– Detailed clear pictures. – Pictures should be taken of each side and/or

important details such as serial numbers, product numbers, plug ins, scratches, dents, front, back, sides.

– Pictures should not be blurry, too dark or exposed.

Transportation

• Step 4: Transportation– Should your item not sell on NU Auction we

may make arrangements to transfer it to our eBay sales area.

– This is to protect you from misplacing items that are currently listed on our eBay page.

– We will make every attempt to pick up your items at times that are the most convenient for you and your department.

– Please note that ownership still resides with your department.

Proceeds

• Step 5: Proceeds– After your item sells on eBay the funds received

will be remitted to your department upon the close of our accounting period.• Our billing periods run from the 15th to the 15th

of each month. – Once the accounting is done on our end we will

send you a letter with the information on your items sold, the associated fees, and a check to your department.

– Departments will be receive funds 1 to 2 months after the item has sold. If there was a batch of items, payment will happen after the whole batch has been sold/unsold.
