Monday Night Bible Study

The Gospel of Mark is not just good news about Jesus. It reveals, sometimes in surprising and scandalous ways, how Jesus is God's good news to us. This study takes 8 big questions based in the text and challenges participants to explore them thoughtfully together:

We need your Best Crafty Crafts,Tasty Home Baking (cakes and pies – NO cookies/bars that can be sold separately), and Home Goods (that are in great condition).

for the Desert Streams’ Booth on Saturday November 19th, from8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Surprise Aquatic Center parking lot! All proceeds will go to the Desert Streams Worship Ministry.

On Thanksgiving Morning, November 24th, We Have the Opportunity to Provide for Approximately 30 Victims of Domestic Violence in Our West Valley.

Watch for the sign-up sheet at the Information Table for the food you are willing to prepare and donate.

Time:   Food drop off time 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Thanksgiving morning

HOLIDAY COOKIE BAKE AND EXCHANGE

General Guidelines:• bring 6 dozen home made cookies for the exchange, packaged in ½ dozen quantities (12

containers or zip lock bags) - along with a few for consumption that morning • Staple recipe to each packet• In addition to the exchange , for those who want to bake we will be making Kolacy (Polish

cookies) and one other cookie TBD• Instructions also available at the Information table.

The Congregational Life Ministry invites you to participate in Desert Streams’ Holiday Cookie Bake and Exchange on Saturday December 3 from 9 – 11:30am at the home of Heather Baker (see Member Directory for address).

Coffee and tea will be available as well.

Start baking now and freeze your cookies to preserve them for the exchange or just plan to attend to learn 2 new cookie recipes.

Youth Christmas Program“The Dream”

Rehearsals will be held 1:00-3:00pm on Sunday, Nov. 13,20,27 & Dec. 4th in Ericka Stultz’s home (see Member Directory for address). A light snack will be provided.

A dress rehearsal will be Saturday, Dec 10th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. 

“The Dream” will be presented at both services on Dec.11th. 

NURSERY FOR OUR LITTLE ONES DURING WORSHIP

Desert Streams provides a nursery during both services for

little ones from infant through 4 years old. 

 

We strive for prayer to be a priority in our church and individual lives! 

Join us on our land site corner of Reams and Hearn for prayer with our Council members every third Saturday of the month, beginning at 8:00 a.m. 

No pressure – no praying out loud required.

Priority Prayer Time

YOU are encouraged to invite a family member, friend, neighbor or co-worker and bring them with you to worship at Desert Streams. There are people all around you who do not know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Bring them to worship with you the second Sunday of every month.

“BRING A FRIEND SUNDAY” is the second Sunday of each month.

  Mothers of Preschoolers meet in the Marley Park Club House (15210 W Sweetwater Ave) from 9:15-11:00 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month.

  We give mothers the opportunity to grow in their personal faith walk.  We are in need of more caregivers to watch our Moppets(infant-4 yrs old) only 2-6 hours a month.
