Registration Process
1. Orientation2. Attend Open House Monday, January 30, 2017, with your
parents.3. Turn in completed packet to a DV counselor at your middle
school. Even if you think you may attend a different school, please turn in a packet.
Only COMPLETE packets will be accepted.
Having completed, on-time packets is the first step to a successful high school experience!

Attached Documents
∗ Attach a copy of Gifted scores, if applicable. Top 3% on the TUHSD placement test or previous placement in Gifted Program.
∗ Students in special programs need to note on Record of Prior Special Programs page (504, ESL, Title I, IEP, Gifted). Students taking honors, but not identified as gifted do not need to mark gifted.
Valid Arizona driver’s license can be used for proof of residency if the address matches the address listed on the attached yellow data sheet.
Desert Vista Open Enrollment?Registration packets for open-enrollment students must be turned in:

* Desert Vista before the end of the school day on March 3, 2017.

1. Scoring in the top 3% in any one of the three areas on the TUHSD honors placement test.

2. Qualification in a gifted program prior to high school (Documentation must be included with registration paperwork unless identification was through Akimel or Altadena and student currently attends one of those schools).
3. PSAT scores will be reviewed in the freshman and sophomore years, if the
student has not qualified in one of the ways listed above.
