These are a postcard and event flyer for a silent auction for a non-profit organization called The Open Space Alliance for North Brooklyn. It was done in a partnership with an artist organization called TRUST ART to benefit parks in Brooklyn. I used both organizations’ logos for the design inspiration and focal point.

makeup who you are.

Guerilla Palette is a cosmetics company. The brand of makeup has a demographic of 13 through 30 year olds with a bold, wild feel to it. Guerilla art and urban graffiti art were my inspiration for the packaging. I made the logo to resemble a makeup palette that was untraditional or uneven.

These are two postcards (same back) made to promote a website. Patch.com is a national website for local journalism that has separate sites for different communities within New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Their brand look is a very clean design that utilized lots of white space, so I tried to keep with the same theme when designing the cards. I also came up with the text content.

THE WORLD GIVING TREE

These are a variety of logo and branding ideas for a non-profit agency called

The World Giving Tree. The client wanted something

using green and a tree with an approachable

feel to it. The agency did not want something that

“resembles Earth Day.” The corresponding business

card shows the logo and color scheme that the

client decided to go with.

Fall 2006/Spring 2007

This is the cover of a 200+ page, glossy magazine. The figure is a well-known statue located on The University of Tennessee campus, thus representing the “campus” for the issue’s theme, “Is our campus ready for the world?”. I chose the cover design concept and created it accordingly.

This is the cover of an advertorial insert that

went into a newspaper. I designed it with a vintage,

French bistro theme in mind. It was also printed on

newsprint, which gave it an excellent matte finish to

add to the vintage feel.

PhoenixLiterary Arts Magazine

Fall 2006The University of Tennessee

This is the front and back cover of Phoenix magazine which showcases fine art, essays and poems. My design theme was to use areas of color juxtaposed with hard angles and fine lines. I used this combination in some form or another throughout the book. I also used a modern, sanserif font for the majority of the body copy.

Two small banner ads for the company, 1-800 Groomer, that could be placed on any Purina or Meow Mix website and attract the attention of all animal lovers. A pet groomer who comes to you...who could ask for anything more?

That’s the end. Thanks for looking!
