INTRODUCTIONIn this design booklet, I will show you how I got to the final outcome of the 3D environment, what inspired me, and what is actually in the environ-ment, I will show you all of the processes I went through, and also why it looks like it does.

SYNOPSISThis 3d environment contains numberous stages in which the player has to go upwards to reach their final destination which is their future goal they are working towards in life. The player first starts at the bottom stage where it starts off broken and quite bleak based on the childhood of my chosen person. From there they go up stairs to the next stage which rep-resents her staying with her aunty. It is desserted and looks like waste-land to represent her being lonely. The stairs to the next stage are much steeper showing her move to London qhich would have been quite daunt-ing. The next stage is her moving back to bristol where it has a map of her where she stayed on the floor, then the next stage in her moving back to London. The next stage that the player gets to is when she has had the baby, theat stage is made so it looks like you are inside a big baby cot with baby toys, blankets and pillows. There final level is like a heavenly level of where the person wants to be with her own busincess in beauty, a hotel where all her friends can stay, and a baby area for her baby, and her friends babies. Ultimately you can see by the size in circles with ones are more important and effected her the most, and you can see the tran-sitions she has been through.

TREATMENTFrom my research I found that Daneka (my chosen person) had 7 differ-ent stages in life that has made her who she is today, and has effected her. I thought because of these 7 major stages that I would make an envi-ronment that shows those 7 different stages of her life. Depending on how effective and important those stages were in her life, is how big the circle would be. The first circle was broken up because that is where the player will start, they will have to jump from one broken peiece to another in or-der to get to the stairs to reach the other stages. The second stage is her being left by her mum, and having to live with her aunty, where she was quite lonely so I made it look like wasteland. The third step is her moving to London, so I made the stairs quite steep, because it would have been hard for her to leave everything shes ever known behind. Then she moved back to Bristol, then back to London so I put those stage quite close to-gether and smaller. The 6th stage is her having a baby which is the big-gest circle as she would of had to change a lot of things, and it really did change her life, and a lot of things happened through out. The last stage is her future goals, where she wanted to be surrounded by her friends and children with her own business in beauty.

SCENARIOSThere are 7 different stages where the player has to work up to, which displays 7 of the major stages in my persons life that have effected her life:

This is the first stage that the player starts at. The player is dropped here to where the player has to jump over the cracks to reach the first stairs. As you can see the circle is broken and has a baby picture to represent a bro-ken childhood.

This is the second stage that the player gets to, as you can see it looks like wasteland, and is grey to represent loneliness from where her mum left her in bristol, there are then stairs that they player climbs to get to the next stage.

Here you can see the stage of when she gets to London, you can see around the edge there are well known buildings around the edge to repre-sent that she is in London, and then on the floor is a map of where about she lived (South Norwood)

Here you can see the stage where the player gets to where it feels as if they are in a baby cot, it has baby toys, baby blankets and pillows. This scene is to represent her having a baby, this stage is the biggest circle so it has the biggest impact

LIST OF ASSETSThe list of assets that are in the 3d environment are as follows:Stairs x 6Baby toy ballBaby building ringsPillow x 2Blankets x 3HotelSee-SawHouseShackMassage bedManicure tableChair x 2Baby hutClimbing frame x 2Ring

TEXTURESI used quite a few textures in my project that would give off the right at-mosphere/effect for each stage, so at each stage its a different feeling.

STAGE 1I used this baby pic-ture of Daneka on the first circle to rep-resent her as a baby, also i sed the colour grey for some of the broken peieces so it looked a bit dark, and not a good start. I also used a broken wood for the stairs.

STAGE 2

On this second stage I used this grey, bro-ken land, its quite a light grey but I used it to represent her lone-liness when her moth-er had left her to go to London. I also used marble for the stairs

STAGE 3

On the 3rd stage of the player going to London, I used different pictures of famous buildings of London, to create the atmosphere of her being in London, and then on the floor, i used an image of a map of South Norwood, where she moved to. Images from google images

STAGE 4

This stage she moved back to bristol, there was missing informa-tion so we just left it with the map of bristol on the flooring.

STAGE 5

She moved back to London, and at this time she found out she was pregnant, so I just used an image of a pregnant woman on the flooring to keep it simple.

STAGE 6

STAGE 7

On this last stage I used sand for the flooring, for a beach effect, I then also used clouds for the stairs to make it feel heavenly. I also used straw for the top of the shack.

This stage is where she gave birth to a baby boy so the stairs leading to this stage I put an “its a boy” im-age to show the progression from being pregnant to giving bith. I used wood texture for the whole of the stage to make it seem like the person was walking around in the cot, I also used thomas the tank engine textures for the bed covers and also for the toy ball I use a picture of a toy ball, I used blue for one cover, and then red, yellow, green and blue for the building toy.

DRAWINGSThese are some drawings that I drew in order to get my end product. These drawings show the different stages that I wanted the environment to involve and how big I wanted the circles to be depending on the impor-tance/effect to her life. I also planned out how it would look from a birds eye view.

At first I wanted to make my environ-ment like stairs going upwards instead of being with in a circle, I changed it to being in a circle because I thought it would be much easier, and would look better.
