Description of Change:

This DCN isolates power from the existing air stripper and blower, air scour system, backwash pumps, dewatering screw conveyor, GAC sumps, and heat trace panels. It also isolates control power within the bailey control cabinet for the above-mentioned equipment and all instrumentation associated with the Dual Media Filters and GAC Columns.

It is the intention of this DCN to isolate hazardous voltages and allow an outside contractor to perform the work in DCN-17-0825-3608 in safely isolated systems.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Provide air gap as described below.

All control circuits shall have continuity tested to verify terminal block designations are as identified within sketches.

Provide labels for all air gap/isolation points indicating power/control and equipment served. This will aid the outside contractor who will be completeting the demolition and installation work assoiciated with DCN-17-0824-3608.

Special Notes:

1) PB No. 3 denoted on the sketches in this DCN is physically labelled Pull Box No. 1 in the field.

2) The notes under the main heading for each section apply to all sketches within section.

1) Isolation of Dual Media Filters:

a) Dual Media Filter DM F-1009

1. Air gap UCP No. 9 by removing power feed IPP circuit 7 back to Panel IPP. (The attached sketch

indicates circuit 17; however, the field conditions indicate circuit 7). 2. Air gap instrument air supply (A/S) valve 3608-SVC-1 and permanently cap. 3. Remove conduit and conductors between UCP No. 9 and Terminal Cabinet 1. 4. Air gap PB No. 3 from IPP circuit 17, back to nearest junction box. 5. Air gap conduit and conductors at UCP No. 9 back to nearest junction box between UCP No. 9 and PB

1. Air gap power and control conductors by disconnecting from the MCC and coiling back to the cable tray.

coiling back to the cable tray. Bundle and label power conductors.

b) Air gap Heat Trace Panel HTCP-2 (HT2) power conductors by disconnecting from the MCC3 Section 8M and coiling back to the cable tray. Bundle and label power conductors.
